2.19 Hand-in-Hand

A/N: Happy Late Thanksgiving! I don't celebrate thanksgiving since I'm British but who doesn't love an excuse to eat copious amounts of food and throw it all up later!

Don't think there are any TW's for this chapter, correct me if I'm wrong please.

8th August 2021 12:05pm (Sykkuno POV)

Both Rae's car and Emma's car were parked side by side in the hospital parking lot, the only problem is that we had to take both cars to the restaurant we were going to.

Sykkuno: "So... What now?" I asked for a solution, Rae still clutching me firmly in her tired state.

Corpse: "I guess Rae could just drive her car to the restaurant while we take Emma's car." He suggested.

I didn't like the idea of Rae driving alone, not only was she pretty tired, but I also didn't want her to feel lonely. With this in mind I decided to go with Rae instead.

Sykkuno: "No, I'm gonna go with Rae."

Corpse: "Sykk? Should we leave you alone with her? After-" He questioned me before I cut him off.

Sykkuno: "Corpse! I understand you're just trying to look out for me, but I'm going with Rae. Okay?" I spoke rather sternly, letting him know I wouldn't be swayed.

Corpse: "Fine. Whatever you say." He said before getting in the car, looking a little ticked off.

"Is it just me? Or is Corpse jealous? He couldn't be! Right? Surely not."

"You're so blind. You can't even see it can you?"

"He's not jealous! He's just... A good friend that's all! Just a friend..."

"Whatever you say..."

My thoughts were disrupted when Rae rubbed my arm, trying to get my attention.

Rae: "Sykk? Bab- You okay?" She cut herself off before she could say whatever it was she was about to say.

Sykkuno: "Huh? Oh... No I'm fine Rae. Come on, let's get in." I said as I walked towards the driver side door.

Rae: "Are you escorting me to my door?" She spoke in a soft, joking tone.

Sykkuno: "Oh, very well m'lady!" I joked as I walked to the passenger side door, confusing her.

Rae: "Sykk? This is your door." She said confusedly.

Sykkuno: "C'mon Rae, you think I'm gonna let you drive with how tired you are? Get in the car Rae."

Rae: "Bu-But... But I..." She stuttered trying to make excuses for herself.

I opened the door for Rae and made a gesture for her to get in to no avail. She still wouldn't let go of my arm so I placed one hand on her lower back and the other one wrapped around the back of her thighs. As I picked her up from the floor she loosened her hold around my arm and moved her arms around my neck, snuggling her head into my chest as I placed her in the passenger seat.

She still wouldn't let go of me though, she was like a sloth hugging a tree, only in this case I was the tree. I tried pulling away but she only dragged herself along with me so, without seeing another option, I began tickling her body in an attempt to get her separated from me. It worked though, she jerked back giggling cutely with a wide smile plastered on her face.
