3.16 Reconciliation

A/N: I know what you're thinking, what? Another NoYu post so soon? Who is this man? And what has he done with our NoYu who barely ever posts anymore? Well, I'm still here, unfortunately, I'm just bored on holiday, done everything I wanted to and now I'm just writing to pass the time, trust me, when I get back to England the old post schedule is gonna come back, the shitty once a week one.

So this chapter is going to be more Toast (Jeremy) and Miyoung-centric, and when I say that I mean I don't think Rae or Thomas will be in this chapter at all, and if they are they won't be the focus, like I know I do this in third person but basically what I mean is that it won't be from either of their perspectives, it'll probably be only from Miyoung's perspective throughout all of this.

I do wanna say that I will also be doing some translation from Korean to English or vice versa, I don't speak Korean, I used a translator website similar to Google translate, I apologise to any potential Korean readers if it's off, obviously it's not written with Korean characters, anyway it's only for Miyoung's mom and Miyoung exchanging a few brief words and other than that it's not used in the rest of this chapter.

Friday 7th January 8:30am

Friday, the day before Rachel Hofstetter's birthday, she was very excited about the whole day, as well as nervous about what she and Thomas would no doubt be doing by the end of the wonderful day, but hang on a minute, this chapter isn't about Rachel, nor is it about Thomas, no, this time we visit another young woman, faced with her own relationship troubles, the fair, beautiful Miyoung Kim, whom we learned last time had an old flame in her ex boyfriend Jeremy Wang, but now, she wished to rekindle that flame that's their love.

Miyoung Kim had just finished getting ready for school in the morning, she had finished putting on her makeup, more than usual today since she was going to talk to Jeremy, she was wearing one of her old outfits that she knew for a fact that Jeremy thought them to be cute, as well as that, she had done her hair nicely, and she had also brought her game face, in case what she hoped to be a casual if not slightly nerve-wracking talk between them turned out to be something more sinister, but after she was finished getting ready, she was sure she was forgetting something, not an unusual feeling to have in the morning before school.

Miyoung stood by the door of her room, her bag resting on her right shoulder as she briefly pilfered through it, not being able to discern what it was that she was forgetting, she then turned around and cast her gaze upon the room, her eyes zipping around as she searched for what she had forgotten, and as her eyes landed on her nightstand, it became clear to Miyoung as to what she had forgotten, her phone, she walked over to it, picking it up off of the table as she powered it on, her subconscious mind becoming reminiscent as she unwittingly opened her phone and made her way into her photo album, to an album titled "Can't Delete, Can't Forget", Miyoung opened it up, only to see hundreds upon hundreds of pictures of her and Jeremy, she couldn't bring herself to delete the album, but even if she could, she could never forget about them all.

Miyoung began scrolling upwards past all manners of photos, some more explicit, for example, a shirtless selfie from Jeremy, and some more simple, such as a simple photo of the couple holding hands, she continued scrolling until she found one, the one that she remembered the most clearly, her favourite photo of them, one she hadn't revisited for quite some time now, it was Miyoung kissing Jeremy on the cheek while he took a photo of the two, you couldn't see it from the angle, but Miyoung was on her very tiptoes with her arms by her side just to reach his face, a light smile greeted her face as she used her thumb to caress the screen, as bad as the relationship was in its final moments, there were plenty of good memories to enjoy looking back upon, moments like that one.
