2.10 Overstepping Boundaries

A/N: Kinda random Corpse/Emma introduction, idk just felt like the natural thing to do.

Chapter is kinda delayed then again I post whenever tf I want so it's technically exactly on time.

22nd July 2021 10:45am (Sykkuno POV)

"It does seem like everybody would be better off without me... Maybe I should just-"

Toast: "Come on Sykkuno we're leaving!" He exclaimed, interrupting my dark thoughts.

I looked back only to see Miyoung slam her door.

Sykkuno: "Wh-what about Mi-Miyoung?" I asked fearfully.

Toast: "She's not coming!" He continued yelling.

Toast: "Let's go!" He demanded, gesturing to me.

Sykkuno: "Toast..."

Toast: "COME ON!" He yelled, grabbing me by the wrist and yanking me towards the door.

Sykkuno: "Toast you're hurting me!" I exclaimed, growing fearful of him.

He didn't let go of my wrist though, he continued pulling me, the friction between our skin rubbing and giving me a burn. I slapped him on the wrist a little harder than necessary, he got the point though and let go, apologising.

Toast: "I'm sorry Sykkuno... God! It's just Miyoung can be so... Ugh... Like I love her but she drives me crazy!" He rambled, lowering his voice to calm me.

I still felt a little uneasy but I could relate to him, as much as I loved Richie he definitely had his flaws. Understandingly, I gave Toast leeway and let him off the hook even though he just hurt me.

"Am I hypocritical? I'll let Toast off but not Rae? Am I just a horrible person for not trusting her? Should I just disappear? She'd probably be way happier without me... I never deserved a girl like her in the first place... I'm nothing... Nobody..."

A visible frown formed upon my face, something that didn't go unnoticed by the man beside me. I hated thinking like that, it was demeaning and only made me feel worse about myself, but I couldn't stop thinking like that. It was all I thought about.

Toast: "Sykkuno? You okay?" He asked, though I didn't hear in my blank state.

Toast: "Sykkuno!" He shook me vigorously, breaking me out of my thoughts.

Toast: "Look, I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean it!" He continued.

Sykkuno: "You're fine Toast... I understand... I was just... Just... Whatever..."

We silently walked out to the car, the awkwardness growing more and more. Once we got in the silence only ensued, fearing the whole day would be like this I decided to make a call.

???: "Hello?" The familiar low voice said.

Sykkuno: "Hey Corpse... it's me..." I greeted him, my expression blank.

11:00am (Corpse POV)

Corpse: "Shut the fuck up Emma! Who even asked you?" I yelled playfully, as we tend to.

Emma: "No you!" She yelled back, maintaining her playful tone.

Corpse: "Real mature!"
