2.23 Dinner is Served!

9th August 8:00am Sykkuno POV)

I woke up earlier than usual, it was 8:00am to be exact. I had no more bad dreams after that one, though that horrible nightmare was still plaguing my every thought. I couldn't bear to experience that in real life, Rae was everything to me, I couldn't go through losing her, that would surely break me.

I remembered what happened after my nightmare, how Corpse came into my room and comforted me, I was so grateful that he was there, it reminded me of that one time I had a nightmare about Rae and she was the one who woke me, though that ended slightly differently. Just thinking about that night with Rae made me feel a little better, and thinking that it could be like that again made me feel even greater.

Suddenly feeling intensely hungry, I tried to get out of the bed to go scavenge the kitchen but upon doing so I felt a force pulling me back. Somehow I must have been so deep in my own thoughts that I didn't even realise something was holding onto me, or someone.

Investigating whose arms those were, I rolled over only to be met by Corpse's face, or what I could see at least. I found it strange that he wore that mask even when he was sleeping or just inside his own home in general, especially since I had seen his face before, but, I guess you never know when it comes to crazy internet fans and their para-social relationships.

"I guess he stayed for the entire night... How sweet of him..."

Despite only being able to see his closed eyes as well as his longish hair that fringed over his forehead, something about his face just made him look very cute when he was sleeping.

I lied back down into the position I was previously in with Corpse's arms still around me, his hair was covering his closed eyes so I moved the strands out of the way in a slow movement with my thumb and my index finger as I admired his features.

As soon as I realised what I was doing I retracted my hand from his face in a swift movement and immediately questioned my own actions.

"What are you doing? You're literally going on a date with Rae later! Stop thinking about him like that! You can't have them both! And you're only gonna end up hurting one of them Thomas!"

"This is all you, this isn't me..."

"Shut up!"

Needing to drown those thoughts of Corpse out, I escaped his grasp despite the reluctance from his side and I practically sprinted away from the room towards the kitchen, making a pit stop at the bathroom.

Once I was done on the toilet, I went to wash my hands in the sink and when I turned the tap I noticed there was a toothbrush on the sink. It was wrapped in a little ribbon and had a tiny piece of paper attached to it.

The message read:

For Sykkuno :) -Corpse

Upon reading it a smile lit up my face, a smile I noticed when I looked in the mirror. There go those thoughts again.

I also noticed some toothpaste besides it as well as some mouthwash, he really went all out for me, how adorable.

Shortly after, I left the bathroom without brushing my teeth, I figured I should probably wait until after breakfast to brush them. At least that way it's more efficient. When I got to the kitchen I noticed Emma dancing around with her back facing me, she was humming a song with her headphones in while making some food of some sort.

Seeing her like that made old memories resurface, memories of Rae... when she... I said I forgave her for that, and I did, but, revisiting that memory was never a pleasant experience. I hated thinking about that time, when I ruined my chances with her because of what I did, if only I had been more careful. Well I'm not gonna make that mistake again.
