Chapter Twenty Eight

The door opens and a smile forms on Jaxon's face. Luis walks up to counter and dings the bell very loudly.

"It's time for a lunch break"

Jaxon smacks his hand off the bell ajd and smiles.

"Okay, where are we going?"

Luis smiles. He was really enjoying the time he was spending with Jaxon, hopefully the other man felt the same way.

"It's a surprise"

Jaxon throws his apron on a table and leads Luis to the door. He follows Luis and gasps when he sees a motorcycle parked behind his van.

"Is this yours?"

"Yeah, we can take a ride and head to a fast food joint and get burgers or whatever" he shrugs.

Jaxon hops on and grabs the handles.

"Nice bike. Can I drive it?"

"Nah, you only ride....isn't that right?" Luis teases.

Jaxon smirks and hops off.

"Are we still talking about the bike or something else?"

Luis hands him a helmet and ruffles Jaxon's hair.

"I think it applies to both" he says hopping in front. Jaxon sits behind Luis and wraps his arms around the man's waist

"I'm a rider, only for you though" he says and Luis releases an amused chuckle.

The bike revs up and they speed off, Jaxon could see blurs of cars as they passed by, he holds on to Luis tighter.

When they came to a stop, Jaxon looks around and gasps, they were at the town's bridge. The falling snow made the scene more perfect.

"This is my favourite spot when I need to think" says Luis. Jaxon hums, hs leans on to the man's shoudler.

"Luis....who are you?"

"What do you mean?"

Jaxon straightens up and sighs.

"I don't know anything about you"

"I can say the same about you"

Jaxon nodded.

"My name is Jaxon, I'm 24, single. I live in an apartment with three plants, i enjoy horror movies and stand up comedy"

Luis nods.

"Luis, 26, single. I live in a house with no pets and plants and i enjoys sitcoms and suspense movies"

Jaxon smiles and holds Luis's hand.

"You know, we could have done this on our date"

"Isn't this a date?" Luis asks. Jaxon was dumbfounded.

"Oh! I thought....i thought it was just us grabbing lunch"

"It's a lunch date. Speaking of lunch, let's go get some beef in our mouth" he says leading his date back to the motorcycle

"Ew don't say that"

Cayden was in the kitchen having some coffee. He was feeling strange. Now that he and Aiden had finally gone all the way, what was left to do?

"Hey there sexy"

He looks up and sees Aiden, soft glow on the man's face. Cayden smiles, weakly.

"Aiden....what do we do now?" He asks. Aiden looked at him, confusion riddled on the man's face.

"Now? We can watch a movie, go for a walk"

Cayden shook his head.

"I meant us, where do we go from here?"

"I...I don't understand. Elaborate for me"

"You see, we just had coitus and I'm unsure of what will become of our relationship. What's next to achieve?"

Aiden cackles.

"I see....well we can have sex in other places, go on dates, marry each other, have kids"

"Oh"

He sits next to Cayden and kisses him on the cheek.

"Don't overthink it babe, just go with the flow. We'll be alright"

Cayden felt reassured now, he couldn't wait to see how this adventure will turn out.

"Did you know cuddles are good for you?"

Aiden smiles and pulls Cayden to his side. He kisses him on the forehead.

"You should get a shower though, you smell like sex and sweat"

"You smell like ass but you don't hear me complaining"

"Ouch"

"This is the best burger I've ever had in a long time"

Luis smiles, he uses his thumb to wipe the corner of Jaxon's mouth.

"You're like a squirrel"

Jaxon blushes. When did the roles switch?! Not that he minds but....he thought he'd be the one to make Luis blush.

"So Luis, have you been in a relationship before?"

"Yeah, you?"

"Mhm....the breakup was ugly. The bastard cheated on me, took my car and left while i was at work."

"Oh, sorry about that" Luis says sincerely.

Jaxon waves him off before taking a sip of his drink.

"It's okay. Tell me about yours?"

Luis sighed. He knew he'd eventually talk about this so why not get it over with.

"He was my first, we were together for six years. Had lots of fun and then one day he just changed, said he didn't enjoy being the bottom anymore so i said we'll switch. Gave it a try for a month and he called out another guy's name in bed"

Jaxon hissed in regret.

"Yikes.....I'm sorry"

"It's okay....I mean, I moved on"

Jaxon nods. He can tell Luis still loves his ex.

"How about we go to your place and I'll make you some hot cocoa"

Luis laughs. Jaxon really brightens up his day.

"Let's go"

"Okay kids, inside the house. It's about to snow again"

"But we love the snow"

Sandy sighs.

"I know and I'd hate to see you kids get down with the cold now inside, go on"

She smiles as they hurry up in the house. The shelter has been doing great all thanks to Aiden. More kids were being adopted and that cut costs on many groceries.

"Kids, such angels huh?"

She turns her attention to the stranger and frowns. Her face twisting in a scowl.

"What the hell do you want?"

A woman stood before her, a large chinchilla blue fur coat protecting her from the cold, on her feet was a pair of black cone heels. Hair tied in a neat ponytail revealing her dull green eyes.

It was the woman Sandy has heard of the same woman who left her son here years ago. The vile things she had done to that child, what a despicable person!
The woman smiles at Sandy and says,

"I'm here for my son, where is he?"
