Chapter Thirty One

The bell chimes and Jaxon smiles seeing his favourite customer, however his smile disappears when he sees Luis's frown.

"Hey, are you okay?"

Luis sat down and sighs.

"You won't believe what happened today"

Jaxon sat down and held his hands.

"What happened?"

Luis sighs and starts to tell him about the events that took place back at the shelter. Once he was done, Jaxon was livid.

"Who the fuck does she think she is?"

Luis sighed.

"Apparently she's Cayden's mother"

".....what?!"

He nods.

"Oh my God, Cayden can't meet that woman"

Luis frowned.

"Why not?"

"Cayden and his mother don't get along, i don't know the full details but what i know is they should not meet. Not now, not ever"

"What do we do then?" Luis asks. Jaxon ponders for a moment.

"We go on a cruise"

"What?"

"Picture it, we'll be alone and Cayden won't bump into his mother"

Luis sighed.

"How will you do this then"

"We have a contest but we rig it so Cayden wins"

A chuckle escapes Luis's mouth. Jaxon was really ambitious.

"How about this. When he comes here for pie, you say he won cruise tickets and he and someone special can go together"

"That's a better idea babe I'll get to it"

"Wait....what did you say?"

Jaxon blinked, his face went red in an instant.

"I...I said babe"

Luis smirks and leans forward. Faces inches apart, he grabs Jaxon's thigh and squeezes it.

"If I'm babe what should I call you?"

Jaxon chewed on his bottom lip.

"Uh...I've always liked bunnies"

Luis laughs softly. He nods.

"Okay bunny"

Jaxon felt blood rush to his ears. What was happening?!

"I should uhm...I should check on my snickerdoodle"

Before he could escape, Luis pinned him to the counter. He felt the man's hard on against his back.

"Is that a lunchbar in your pants or are you really excited to see me"

Luis turns him around. He captures Jaxon's lips with his, softly kissing him. Jaxon felt like he was melting into a puddle, the way Luis kissed him was something else.

They pull away and Luis rubs his thumb over Jaxon's cheek.

"You're so beautiful bunny"

Jaxon blushes, he's never seen this side to Luis before.

".....My snickerdoodle.....burning"

Luis laughs.

"Okay, I'll be here"
