Chapter Twenty four

"Cayden!"

"Cayden!"

Tears trickled down his face. The snow felt like blades as they fell on him.

"CAYDEN!"

His knees buckle making him fall on the pavement.

"....Cayden!"

His cries echo through the neighborhood.

"What's going on?! Why are you in this storm?"

It was Jade, she had heard Aiden bellowing like a straight cat. She helps him up. She had never seen Aiden be like this, except for the time when...she gasps.

"He left? What happened?"

"I...I messed up. He ran off before I could explain"

She sighs, walking him back to his house.

"Sit down while I make you something warm to drink"

"Thanks mom"

Once the coffee was made, Aiden told His mother what had happened and Jade was livid.

"Who the fuck does she think she is? If I had known she was trouble i wouldn't have introduced you to her"

Yes, Jade was the one who introduced them. Nithya's mother, Caryn were coworkers at the hospital so they figured it would be nice for their kids to be friends.

"Mom don't blame yourself. All we have to do now is find Cayden, it's snowing real hard tonight"

Jade nods.

"Your father and I will go look for him. You stay here in case he comes back"

Aiden gave his mother a sad sigh.

".....what if he doesn't....i don't want to lose him again"

"You won't, this time I'll be there to encourage you on"

He smiles.

"Thanks mom"

"Don't worry sweetie, now stay warm. I'll be back, hopefully with good news"

Once the door closed, Aiden stood up and went to their bedroom. Cayden's scent still lingered in the air. Apple pie and strawberry bath bomb. He chuckles and lies in bed.

He dials Cayden's number. It rang three times then the call got cut off. He sighs.

"Cayden.....please come back"

She opens the door slowly, she sees Cayden sitting on the bed, looking out the window. She sighs and sits next to him.

"Cayden....you have to go back to him"

"..."

The man remained silent, he knew he had overreacted. How? Because on his way out he realized that there was a 95% chance of Nithya lying so she could break them up and he doesn't know if Aiden would want him back again.

"I'm sure he hates me" he whispers.

Jade hugged him from the side. When she was in the living room enjoying her daily talk shows, Cayden stormed in crying that he felt stupid to believe Nithya. When she asked what happened, Cayden just cried.

Fortunately, Aiden's screams outside gave her an advantage to know what was going on. It was pretty entertaining for her, except for the part where the boys got their feelings hurt.

"Aiden walked through the storm looking for you.....he wants you back Cayden"

"He....he does?"

She nods.
