"Hey, did Bootsy RSVP?" Lorelai questioned.

"Yeah, he's coming." Rory answered.

"Thanks." The older Gilmore replied. "Is he bringing anybody?"

"He's coming solo." Camille informed her.

"Okay. I'm gonna put him in room 16 with Luke." Lorelai planned.

"You can't do that." Rory objected.

"Come on, let me have my fun." Lorelai begged.

"Luke's coming with Jess." Camille told her.

"Well, I'll put Jess in with Miss Patty." Lorelai brainstormed.

"There will be no Jess left in the morning." Rory laughed.

"You stink." Lorelai stuck her tongue out at her daughter.

Rory sat on the arm of the chair that Camille was sitting on and flicked through some cards.

"Are these last year's cards or this year's?" She asked her mother.

"This year's, of course." Lorelai scoffed.

"Don't scoff. Last year's set were still sitting here 'til Halloween." Camille glared at the woman.

"Hey, if that's a crack at my housekeeping skills... well then, okay." Lorelai sighed.

"Wow." Camille gasped.

"What?" Lorelai questioned.

"This is one ugly looking baby. Whose baby is this?" Rory asked.

"That's your second cousin's Stan's. Poor kid." Lorelai faked empathy.

"Ugh, he got Stan's everything." Rory cringed.

"That's not even the ugliest baby in the bunch." Lorelai warned the two.

"You're kidding." Camille raised her eyebrow and looked through the pile. "Ouch."

After talking about ugly babies, Rory came across another card.

"Hey, I didn't see this." She held up the card so Camille could see

"See what?" Lorelai asked.

"Dad." Rory answered.

"Oh." The woman mumbled.

"And the woman I'm assuming is Sherry." Camille assumed.

"Uh, did I not show you that? Huh." She didn't seem to be comfortable but Rory was oblivious to this.

"They've got a cute little puppy and everything." Camille marvelled.

"Oh, I must've put it in the stack and forgotten to tell you about it. Well, there it is." Lorelai made an excuse.

"Nice looking lady." Rory stared.

"Like a young Tammy Faye Baker." The blonde compared.

"But prettier than that." Rory agreed.

"Hey, question about the room list." Lorelai tried to divert the conversation.

"Yeah?" Rory asked.

"Why is room 31 empty?" Lorelai inquired.

"I wanted to run an idea by you." Rory replied.

"Run it." Lorelai gave her the go ahead.

"I thought maybe a certain depressed man and his wife could stay there." She suggested.

"Woody and Soon-Yi?" Lorelai asked.

"Grandma and Grandpa." Rory responded.

"Ugh, you've got to be kidding." Camille mumbled

"But this could help to cheer him up." Rory insisted.

"I'll send him a Def Jam Comedy tape. That'll cheer him up." Lorelai joked.

"It's a really good thing to do." Rory tried to persuade her mum and sister.

"We'll donate money to charity, that's a good thing too. We'll stop kicking dogs." Lorelai didn't want to say yes.

"Mum." Rory looked at her."

"All right, I'll pencil them in, but they'll probably say no." Lorelai gave in.

"Yea, but we're not gonna hope that they say no, right?" Rory asked.

"Right." Lorelai frowned.

"Right, because that would be really bad karma, especially on top of making fun of the ugly babies." Rory stated.

"Uh, I have a new year's resolution for you: become more cynical and self absorbed." Lorelai commented.

"I'll work on it." Rory smiled.
