Quick note – First, thanks for the kickass response on last chapter, keep it up! Second, I know we had Karva Chauth last Sunday, but I couldn't accommodate an update based on that theme. No matter how much I try, we are going to miss out on a few of the festivals and celebrations. But know that they are still happening there, just we don't have chapters about them. I tried to include a small paragraph about it here though and will try the same in future too. Also a closure on Pavan is here. Thanks.

Pratima devi was walking into Gurgaon police station as she was called as an only family of the suspect in Arohi Singh Raizada's abduction case. The suspect was her only brother, whom she had raised after the death of their parents and even after she got married, continued to look after him. However, in last 2 years he found himself in bad company and started acquiring bad habits. And today was a result she feared the most. Her brother had tried to kidnap a child! Anger and disappointment had built inside her

"So Mr. Raizada, as per your instructions we have ensured all the possible charges are filed against him " Senior inspector Mehta was talking Delhi's top businessman Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada in his daughter's attempted kidnap case. They were under a lot of pressure to close the matter as soon as possible.

"Good, I want him to get maximum imprisonment and no bail!" Arnav was talking to Police superintendent as they were waiting for Pavan's family. Arnav was determined to convince, threaten if needed to Pavan's family members that no mercy will be shown to him. He had already kept utmost patience of not beating the life out of his child's kidnapper, but Khushi had made him swear that he will not lose his cool. They didnt't need another trouble.

Just then they saw Pavan's siter, Pratima walking in, along with her was her 4-5 years old daughter.

"Namaste saab" she greeted them politely and before Arnav could start his speech, she continued,

"saab I want you to give him any punishment you think appropriate, we'll not fight for his bail. What he did is unpardonable. But can I talk to him for a few minutes?" she rendered them speechless and frankly Arnav was relieved. Not that he would have agreed if she were to ask for mercy on her brother! but still. Pratima was allowed to talk to Pavan and was taken to his cell,

"Didi" Pavan was happy to see his sister, along with his 4-year-old niece-Jamuna

"Pavan, today you proved no matter how much I tried I couldn't be your amma. You failed me."

"didi aise mat kaho, humse ghusse me ho gaya (it happened in rage)" Pavan pleaded to his sister

"what were you thinking Pavan? What if something happened to that baby? how would you feel if something happened to your own niece, your Jamuna?" Pratima showed him the extent of his crime, although she could already see regret in his eyes, specially when she mentioned Jamuna, he visibly flinched. But he needed to understand the severity of his crime.

"didi please. Galti ho gayi" he was crying, guilty and ashamed of seeing disappointment in his sister's eyes. He was regretting showing this day to his sister, who was his everything.

"Then prove it Pavan. I want you to serve your punishment and don't come in front of me until you can face yourself again, and until you can let me face myself again" with that Pratima left from there leaving a remorseful Pavan who swore to reform himself, at least for his sister.

It was a week after that incident. Aru had recovered much quickly than anyone anticipated. Well, what can they say, she was a fighter like her mamma-papa! Her mamma who had bravely rescued her papa from the hold of the likes of most evil kidnappers and her dada who fought with goons to save her! It would have been a wonder if she didn't carry those genes...
