"Mamma godi mein uthao (mamma, carry me in your arms)" Arohi extended her arms for Khushi to pick her up. For some reason, Arohi was being extra clingy today. Probably it was because she had seen her parents showering so much love on her twin last week, what with her mamma and dada constantly carrying Pari in their arms. So now princess Arohi Singh Raizada decided to get the attention back on her! Only, she didn't know she didn't have to, her parents had their attention on her as much as they had on Pari or her Kavish bhaiyya.

"nahi shona, aap khud chal ke aao." It wasn't that Khushi couldn't pick her up, even though Aru was much chubbier, healthier than a delicate light-weighted Pari, Khushi would gladly carry her but she wanted to stop giving into Aru's every demands.

"Nooo, mamma, godi mein uthao, abhi ke abhi!" Arohi stamped her foot, she didn't understand why her mamma was being so stubborn.

"Aru humne kaha, aap khud chal kar aao. You are a big girl now, come on." Saying so Khushi left from there, even though it broke Khushi's heart to see her baby's sad face. Afterall she was just 19 months old.

Arnav who had been seeing all this, sighed and went to pick his baby.

"No dada, I don't want to go" Aru refused to be carried by her father and continued playing with her toys, refusing to leave the room. Of course, how did he forget, his daughter had his stubborn genes! And specially when they needed Khushi, they needed Khushi, no-one else worked!

"mamma see this cricket kit I want. Please, can we order it?" Kavish who had started surfing internet very intelligently now, often used to ask his parents to buy cricket gears for him. Although Arnav had already gotten him all things cricket even before he asked, Kavish still seemed to find new things every month.

"Chiku, didn't your papa buy you a new bat like last week? Use it, we'll buy new after it worn out ok?" Khushi tried to reason. One of them had to make their kids understand that they couldn't take things for granted. Although their kids were too little to understand any of it, Khushi was trying her best to be a good parent.

"Come on Khushi, that bat was a wrong selection, it's too tall for his height. We can buy a new kit for him" Arnav pulled her to side as he spoke to her. And it was no secret that Arnav never liked to say no to anything his children desired. Even after 10 years, even after Khushi herself earned her own money and still stood by her old habits of not spending a lot, they often had these disagreements when it came to him buying her fancy gifts or him fulfilling their kids' demands, no matter how crazy.

"Nahi Arnav ji, he needs to wait. We can't give him everything the moment he wishes"

"And why not? His parents, both of them, earn enough for him to demand these things" he stressed on 'both' to emphasize his point. Khushi was being unreasonable like always.

"That's exactly what I don't want him or even Aru and Pari to think. It's bad enough that they get so pampered by you and everyone else, we need to put a stop somewhere to their demands" she spoke with hint of irritation in her tone. That seemed to bring Arnav to edge as he raised his voice too

"Khushi you speak as if it's a crime to have money. Being rich is not bad thing you know? And you and I both earn our money by hard work. Who do we earn it for? Our family, right? What's so wrong if that same family wants to use it, if our kids want to use it? Its their right damm it!" saying so he left from there but they both knew this conversation was far from over.
