1. A family outing

A/N - As of June'2021, Quick summary of my vision of last 9 years in Arnav-Khushi's life: Khushi announced her pregnancy on their 3rd wedding anniversary, as shown in 'Ek Jashn', they eventually had a baby boy(he's born in June'2016). He is named Kavish (K for Khushi, A for Arnav and it's their wish), Khushi calls him chiku, her amma calls him kishu. He's around 5-year-old. Payal-Akash had a baby girl, Piya, who is almost 8 months older than Kavish and an only child at the start of this book. Anjali got married as well and has a baby boy, Pratham. Khushi got pregnant again around the time when Kavish was 3 and delivered fraternal twin daughters – Arohi and Shriya (born in Jan'2020). Shriya is rarely called by her birth-name, she is their Pari, owing to her delicate frame. She is a very shy baby while Arohi is already turning out to be a brat. At the start of this book, they both are around 18 months old and as they're fraternal twins, they don't look alike. Kavish is a doting bhaiyya for his sisters and is also very naughty kid and loves cricket (the sport). Khushi runs a food business 'Gupta foods' while Arnav is still busy at AR. Rest is the same, except arshi don't have any adopted kid, as it was written off in 'ek jashn' too.

"Aru, come here right now" Khushi was running behind Arohi, her youngest daughter. While the nearly 2-year-old toddler was just giggling and running away.

"Arohi Singh Raizada, it is not funny! You come here right now and let me change your clothes." Khushi's stern voice seemed to momentarily halt Arohi's steps but one look back and she was back to running away to now-covered poolside.

"Khushi" Arnav called out to her, coming in their room, with their other twin daughter Pari in his arms. Khushi could see that he had got Pari completely dolled up for the outing, which was a 2-hour drive to a resort near Agra, along with a visit to their Kuldevi temple. The latter was nani's demand of course.

Pari immediately reached to her mother and Khushi took her in her arms.

"Look after your princess, I am going to check on Chiku" Khushi told Arnav, as she turned to walk away and check on her son.

"Hey that's not fair. Getting Pari ready is my responsibility, getting Aru ready is yours." Arnav reminded her. In reality, he knew there was no way in heaven he could handle their naughtiest kid when she was throwing tantrums. Arohi's terrible twos were already showing even before her official 2nd birthday!

That's why he cleverly chose Pari to bathe and get ready, when they were sharing parenting tasks.

"I don't think so mister. You're the one who has spoilt her this way, now its only fair for you to handle her" saying so she stepped out, not giving him any chance to argue

Sighing, he decided he might as well give it a try to handle that little devil of his.

After a while, everyone was gathered in hall. Payal and Akash along with their daughter Piya, Mama-mami, nani, Khushi, Kavish and Pari.

"Where is Chote and Arohi bitiya?" nani asked.

"we are here nani" Arnav said while carrying Arohi in his arms. But everyone just kept staring at them. Well, anyone would, to see Ms. Princess Raizada still in her nightwear, nowhere close to being ready

"Arnavji, what is this? Why is she still in her pajama?" Khushi was nearly panicking. If they didn't leave in next 10 minutes, the Kuldevi temple they were supposed to visit near Agra would be closed for the day.

"Khushi, I think she looks good in pajamas only, let it be, lets go" he said with a straight face, while Arohi was busy hiding herself in his shoulder.

The Raizadas gathered downstairs didn't know if they should laugh or cry. It was obvious that Arnav could not manage his daughter.

"Laad governor, we are visiting kuldevi temple! She needs to bath and wear good clothes" Khushi said, trying as much as possible to control her rising temper.

"Oh really? Says who? I don't believe in all this you know that, besides she's just a baby. Don't impose all this on her" all these things still used to irk Arnav and to top of that, he didnt like compelling his kids to follow any rules.

Khushi was about to argue when she felt a tug on her sari

"Mamma, can you and papa take Arohi to my room and come with me? I know how to get her to bath and get ready" Kavish very confidently told his parents.

Seeing no other option, and not wanting to spoilt everyone's mood by arguing further, they did as their son said. 

And voila, was he right? He not only cleverly managed Arohi to bathe her but also quickly got her to wear her dress.

He first filled the baby bathtub with large colorful plastic balls as Arohi was fascinated with them. She didn't even realize when Arnav and Khushi gave her a quick bath. Kavish then helped Khushi getting Arohi dressed saying how it was matching with his clothes. 

"Aru, see even bhaiyya is wearing blue. Dont you want to look as awesome as bhaiyya? come on wear the dress fast" he said to his sister. 

And Arohi being in awe of her elder brother, did as he said.

In exactly 10 minutes, all 4 of them came downstairs to join the rest of the family. All this while Pari was calmly sitting in nani's lap. 

"Lets go Bhai, I will ask Mohan to get the cars out" Akash said

And with that they started for the much-awaited outing along with Kuldevi darshan.
