Interlude IV: Sneak peek year 2041

This is a future sneak-peek meaning one off thing we do to use a magical crystal ball and peep into Arnav-Khushi and their choti si duniya's future <3. This time it is year 2041, so kids' ages are: Piya(26 year old), Chiku(25), Aru-Pari(21, well 21.5 to be precise :P), Palash(18). Also, a few new characters will be introduced so hold tight :D

'Dhak-dhak, dhak-dhak' keeping the palm of her right hand over her heart, Arohi Singh Raizada tried to control her erratic heartbeat. Maybe it was indeed time to join jogging with her bhaiyya, Dad and Pari. Her cardiac health seemed to be abnormal!

But today it was expected to be so, wasn't it? Today, for the first time, she was in-charge of something so big! So many celebrities, political bigshots, sports personalities of her bhaiyya's friend circle and many business families from India as well as abroad were invited for this event. And she was the main host!

The event was in honor of her dad, Mr. ASR and her twin sister Pari aka Ms. SGR(Shriya Gupta-Raizada) for making their company achieve the top spot in business index consistently for a year! This was a feat seldom achieved by any other company and thus, they were flooded with congratulatory messages for over a week now!

Knowing she had a lot of work to do, she woke up at 6 am itself and tying her hair in a bun and pulling her long PJs she set out to kitchen to make herself a strong black coffee!

But as she reached the threshold of the kitchen, her lips curled into an automatic smile seeing the scene there. A pile of jalebis and her mom frying a few more, while her dad was standing beside her!

Years pass, things change, people grow up, but some habits would never go! Like, frying the jalebis and her mother!

"Arnavji, don't eat that one, I have made sugar-free for you separately." Khushi stopped Arnav from reaching out to take one from the pile and Aru chuckled. If old habits didn't go, then some new habits were also acquired. Like her dad would accompany her mom in these jalebi making times and then eat a few!

Her laughter caught her parents' attention, and they were immediately pleased to see her.

She went and hugged both of them and kissed her mom on her cheek, making her give that gorgeous smile that both her and Arnav loved!

"Pari bhi uth gayi hai kya, shona (Is Pari awake too)?" Khushi asked, and Aru immediately realized the reason for this jalebi-making this early today morning.

Her Pari, her 'queen Elsa' was leaving for Boston in a couple of months, and today was the day when she had her first visa appointment! Of course. That was why her mom was so tense. No, not for the appointment, but for the prospect of her twin sister leaving for the US for 2 whole long years. Pari had received an invitation for an MBA from Harvard. It was more special as it was the alma mater of their dad too!

She could understand her parents' feelings. After all, her chiku bhaiyya used to be away from home due to his cricket tours in the last 7 years. First because he was a part of the under-18 team and later when he became a part of the men's team and recently a captain! He was almost never at home and their parents missed him a lot, she knew.

Then, her piya didi had shifted to Mumbai last year for her singing career. Even her cousin, Palash also got an admission in a culinary school in Mumbai for his undergrad, thus he too shifted there. After that, her payal maasi and her aakash chachu (they must be the first kids who called the same couple by different relations names) used to be visiting their 2 kids in Mumbai for months. That had left her Rama dadi (manorama mami) and her dadu (mamaji) who were very old by now. She knew her mom and dad felt lonely than ever in the past year but with Pari and her being around, they were still cheerful. Now that Pari too was leaving, she knew her parents were overwhelmed!
