69. Anjali's daughter -part2

Q/N - In the previous chapter it didn't come out clearly, but Anjali and her mother-in-law indeed planned to take Arohi for adoption- begin with one week and eventually raise her as their own. Also, there is ASR's wrath here, but as always, it had its impact on Khushi too. And equal sparks from other side ;)

Anjali and Sarita didn't think too much of Arnav's hasty retreat and they excused themselves to go see Nani, not giving Khushi any chance to confront. Hoping they dropped the topic of taking Arohi with them, Khushi too went to check dinner preparations.

However, evening and the topic were far from over. Nani insisted Anjali to stay till dinner and Anjali too easily agreed. She had to speak to Chote to let Arohi go with her to Lucknow for a week...and then, as Aru start spending more time with her, she will talk to Chote and Khushi to let her raise Arohi as her own daughter. her mother-in-law also suggested her the same thing and increased Anjali's hopes.

Arnav who had taken Arohi out on a drive as she loved that, came back only to see Anjali and her mother-in-law had not gone home yet. All efforts he had taken to bring some peace to his heart after spending some alone time with his baby girl, went out of the window when he saw his Di and Sarita's ji's faces get excited at the sight of Aru! Making his mood sourer was when Arohi herself jumped to her bua, gleeful that she was here (in her mind it translated to 'bua will let give her extra sweets at dinner time which her mamma wouldn't let her have')

Taking advantage of the situation, Sarita made her pitch "Chalo(thank god), it's good Arohi bitiya is fond of Anjali so much, it will be easier in Lucknow. Khushi will also get rest, especially after how irritated she was after what happened in park today." she deliberately mentioned that and made it seem like Khushi was in this plan. Arnav looked at Khushi sharply. Did she already agree for them to take Aru with them? How could she?

"You deserve some rest after having 3 kids bitiya, don't worry, Aru will be very happy with us hmm?" Sarita said and Khushi was too shocked to say anything! How could Sarita aunty even deduce something like that? And just then, she heard her husband's roar!!!

"Khushi, I need to talk to you! Come upstairs, right now!" his jaw clenched; fists tightened. He will deal with this Sarita ji later and of course his Di, but he needed ask his wife why she thought to let someone take their kid? without even talking to him?

Khushi, who herself was very angry hearing Sarita's horrible manipulative words, felt even angrier at the way Arnav asked her to speak alone!

She had all but said no, deciding to pull her baby with her and go away! But one look at her giggling child in Anjali's arms, a mother in Khushi calmed her down! Whatever Anjali and Sarita ji might have suggested, Khushi was also aware of Anjali's pain when she lost her daughter so close to her birth...she had to handle this carefully.

"Why the hell, did you say yes to let them take Arohi away? How could you agree without talking to me, damn it?" Arnav asked as soon as they reached their room

"I didn't! But we need to handle this maturely and your temper is not helping!" Khushi snapped, her own head pounding with all the conflicting thoughts. On one hand, she was angry at Anjali and Saritaji and even Arnav but on the other hand, she wanted them to behave rationally. If Anjali di wanted to spend time with Aru, she wouldn't mind and when after some years(like after 20 years!) Aru can stay without meeting her mamma for so many days, she probably would even let Aru go for that long, but not right now...and that had to be said clearly yet carefully!
