Interlude III - Sneak-peek Year 2037

Yes, this is a future sneak peek of the year 2037, so Arnav-Khushi are in their 40s, Chiku is 21, Aru-Pari are 17, Piya is 22, Palash is 15 and Pratham(Anjali's son) is 19. It's a long chapter and includes twists and turns of the kids' lives.

Today was a big day for Pari, or as she was formally known now, Shriya Gupta-Raizada. On her 17th birthday that January, she had requested her father if she could add her mother's surname to her name too, and he had happily told to go ahead, while her dear Maa had tears in her eyes, as usual. Pari chuckled remembering that.

But today's nervousness was not going to be doused down by any amount of laughing. Today, she was going to open that email she had received two days ago but was still debating on seeing the verdict of her future. It was about her application for an undergraduate program in her father's alma mater-Harvard! B.S. in economics to be precise and she will have a minor in history, she had planned.

Although she already had a bunch of admission letters from most reputed colleges in India, including Delhi university's bachelor's in Commerce with a full scholarship, she still hoped this will work out... even when she doubted her parents would agree. Her ma had made her, and her siblings promise to not leave the house until they were 21 and right now, she had kind of went behind their backs...but she just wanted to check her capability, not like getting in Harvard was easy anyway.

Rucha was seated in a rooftop restaurant in Delhi's elite rooftop restaurant, 'Machan' and waiting for her boyfriend-scratch that-soon ex-boyfriend! He was whole 15 minutes late! So, what if he is very famous and a celebrity? She was also busy! She had left her shopping plan with her friend just so he had asked to meet here...and look where Mr. Kavish Singh Raizada was? Nowhere yet!

And that is when she, as in Rucha Mehta, heard a noise from the sky as if a thunderstorm was coming...and soon enough, she spotted his chopper which came nearer and nearer and finally landed on the helipad on Taj's roof.

And even though the crowd around her was as elite as her and Kavish, there was a huge buzz after they spotted India's star batsman and former captain of under-18 cricket team, Kavish Singh Raizada!

Rucha's heart skipped a bit as he stepped out of the helicopter, removed his goggles and walked towards her, a tall-fair-handsome Kavish was every girl's heartthrob, but he had eyes only for her...

Ignoring everyone that came to take his autograph, he walked to her table, held her hand and kissed the back of her palm in a perfect gentlemanly manner and then extended a red rose he had gotten for her...

and just like that, Rucha's anger and plan of breaking up with him because he came late, was melted away...

"Hey, did you listen the latest gossip? Once again someone faced ASR's wrath." one 17-18 years old boy told his group of friends the latest news of their school.

"Really? I don't know why people even try yar? It's impossible to convince ASR!" the other boy said, sighing.

"But she's worth it! What a figure, what hair, what a style, besides anger suits beautiful girls-" came a dreamy reply from one boy, without realizing the person in question was standing just behind him and his other friends were giving him horrified looks, "-wish she could have been fair, you know-" as he was rudely commenting on her physical attributes, she finally tapped his shoulder.

"What? kya hai yar?" the boy turned, only to be horrified to see, the girl he was graphically 'praising' standing there. And soon enough a slap landed on his cheek.
