It was a well-known fact that Kavish Singh Raizada was every bit Khushi's son, from his sweet face to his milky white skin to his jolly attitude. If not for his chocolate brown eyes, Arnav would have hardly found any features of his in his son. Well maybe also the fact that they both couldn't function without Khushi around. So when his dadi and nani announced a son is considered lucky if he looks more like his mother and a daughter is assumed luckiest if she looks more like her father, Arnav was more than happy. And 3 and half years later when Aru came along looking like his carbon copy while Pari also shared many of his features, he was elated remembering this anecdote! Imagine, Arnav Signh Raizada and believing in folklores! Well, what can you say, he was a father now! And fatherhood does change men, especially the ones who were deeply emotional behind that mask of indifference.

So Arnav was not at all surprised when he saw his son's nose that was a testimony to the fact that he was angry! Just like Khushi! In fact, ever since Kavish was born, Arnav had been amused by this fact. Like Khushi, Kavish's nose would turn red when he was either angry on someone or something. The only difference between a baby Kavish and now 5 and a half-year-old boy was, that time his anger was mostly due to hunger or being separated from his mother for long and now it was his crazy demands.

Like today he insisted that Arnav accompany him to a Disney movie! Apparently, all his friends and their dads were going to go, including Rucha with her dad, Jatin! But Arnav refused saying he had work. Kavish went from there with the aforementioned red nose showing his anger when Khushi came there.

In his defense, Arnav didn't mind the movie or even catching up with Jatin, after all he was someone, Arnav could call a friend from his Harvard days. But other dads in the group used to annoy him. To begin with, their most common topics were passing crude remarks on some of the lady schoolteachers in their children's school to brag about how they can still pull attention of many women! Occasionally the discussions ventured into their wives and complaining about how they were not 'adapting themselves with changing world'! Arnav HATED these discussions. Not just because he was head over heels in love with his wife, but also because hearing some of these men disrespecting their wives was deeply disturbing! And when they sensed Arnav's lack of participation, they would tease him about how he was always accompanied by hot models and thus he was not interested in the 'hot topics'. Who would tell those idiots that when you had love of your life married to you, you would have to be a loser of first class to even look at anyone else? And Arnav was anything but a loser.

Now the only issue was he avoided mentioning this to Khushi, with the sole purpose of trying to not upset her. And it was not like all the dads of his son's friends were as*h*les. Some like Jatin were gentlemen too! But he still wanted to avoid their company as much as possible.

In all this, he completely forgot to consider how it impacted his son!

"Why did you say no to him? Hamare bete se zyada important kaunsa kaam hain?" Khushi confronted him

"Please Khushi, don't start now. Tumhe pata hain na ki Akash bhi aajkal busy rehta hain and Aman is on leave visiting his wife's relatives, I seriously can't go. Kavish samajh jayega"

It was hard to argue when he put forward reasons like that. Khushi decided she would talk to Chiku, he will understand. Maybe make a round of jalebis for him?

A couple of days later...

"mamma, Papa, see Aru colored my math textbook!" Kavish came to arshi's room, complaining. Unfortunately for him, Khushi was talking to her amma at that exact time so she didn't really listen to what he was saying. And she was sure whatever it was, Arnav would take care of it. if only she knew what was coming...
