Ardens pov

i woke up this morning feeling the best i've ever felt in so long. i springed up out of bed and got ready for the day. i made my hair extra fluffy and dressed in a sweatshirt with my flannel, black jeans and backwards hat. i walked out of my room and knocked on avery's. i poked my head in the door and she was sitting on her bed brushing her hair. she pretty much looked ready too. she looked up at me and smiled

avery: good morning arden
me: good morning aves
i sit down on her desk chair and roll it close to her.
me: you got any plans for today?
avery: nope
me: wanna hang out with me?
avery: how? sterling's gonna question why we were together
me: so what? i wanna hang out with you
Avery: i wanna hang with you to but sterling

Avery; if you think about it she's the only reason we're here right now
Me: I guess she is but that doesn't mean anything I have a car

i grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the room. she followed me to the garage and we got in my moms car. when we left the neighbourhood, i put my hand on her thigh gently.

Avery: no i'm sorry i wasn't expecting that

Avery: yeah sure

Averys Pov
me: arden i have a question
arden: what's up?
he looked at me and back at the road
me:have you uh you know done it yet?
arden: sex?

me: i don't know i was just wondering
arden: why avery?

we stop at a red light and he looks at me.

once we got to a little spot, he parked his car.

we both hop in the back and he begins looking me up and down. i cover myself with my arms. i think he realized i was uncomfortable and he stopped.

arden: "i have no clue if anything's gonna work out with us because i know you don't want to upset sterling but just know i'm always here for you. whenever you need guy advice, sterling advice or sex advice" he laughs at the end part
me: whys that so funny to you?
arden: i don't know
me: i think i wanna go home can u please drive me back?
arden: why what happened?

arden's pov:
she got in the front and waited for me
i sighed and got in the front i put my hand back on her thigh and she kinda pushed it away
i sigh again and start driving home
when we got back to the house, she got out right away and went inside and up to her room. i go up there and walk into her room
avery: what now
me: i'm sorry i didn't mean to make u uncomfortable
avery: look arden i don't think this will work, you have different intentions than me
me: what do you mean?
avery: like you've had so many girlfriends, you've actually done it b4, you're like 2 years older than me
me: so what are you saying?
avery: i just think it won't work out i'm sorry

i stare at her in disbelief

i walk out of her room. shit i thought it would've lasted a lot longer than this

She opened the door

Arden: we better, before sterling comes looking

Arden: but we should hang out tomorrow
Me: Arden we have school
Arden: right we can leave at lunch

Arden: oh right your in middle school I'll pick you up after school
Me: you have to take sterling and rowen home
Arden: just say you have to stay at school for something and I'll stay for tutoring and I'll come pick you up and make them ride the bus
Me: are you sure we can do that
Arden: it's my car
Me: that your dad got you

Me: alright alright I'll stay after school
Arden: great I'll see you at dinner though

He pecked my lips and left my room
