The call

BRENTLYS POV
I stood in dance class as Marie looked at everyone with a peice of paper in her hand
She looked from me to Caitlyn
She looked so mad too ew

Marie: so how was everyone's weekend kenleigh?
Kenleigh: it was fine thanks

Marie: I had a great weekend do you want to know why
Some nodded I did not
Marie: because two of our girls auditioned for the Joffrey dance academy
A few girls clapped for us
Marie: and here I'm holding the results, now I know both of you made it to the second day, but I am truly disappointed in these results.
What?
Did we do that bad
I looked at her and she looked at me
Marie: look at me, ladies this is disappointing.
She stared down at me
Me: so I failed
Marie; I'm not gonna say you will get a call or you will not

Me: why can't you just tell us, clearly your upset with how we did
Marie: one of you clearly did fantastic and one of you did not which had led to frankly a waste of my time
She looked at me as she talked about the bad one
Caitlyn: so one of us did make it
Marie: again I will not say you will have to wait for a call if you get one

Marie: moving on, we will be picking up the slack in this class we allow you ladies way too much freedom around here if you chose to be on this company team which wasn't offered to everyone and you act like this and you don't take instruction and you don't listen and when we say to dance you should dance
We nodded and started class
And she kept ranting
At 7 I got in my car and went home crying about her bitchy face
The next day
The last day of school I went in sitting in my seat at the table  waiting for the day to be over
I somehow convinced Aiden to come cause I couldn't get mom to let me skip
But it's fun I'm glad he's here

I leaned on his arm
Kinda sad about last night
But it's whatever
I had dnd off and my ringer on

Incase I hopefully get a call and me and Caitlyn keep eachother updated and now neither have gotten a call

They watched a movie as I layed on my boyfriend
Waiting hoping for the phone call
Me: ugh I hate this
Aiden: your making me be here so you think I want this any more then you
Me: I'm glad your here though babe
I smiled
Aiden: we could be in bed asleep
Me: yeah but my mom!
I whined
And laid my head in the table looking at him
Me: your so hot
Aiden: your so hot
He pushed my hair up
I closed my eyes and felt a huge weight lay on me
Me: holy crap your smushing me
Aiden: your okay

We laid there together until my phone buzzed
I jumped up immediately
And picked it up

It's a number

Me: hello
Caller: hello this is Brently Griggs correct
Me: yes this is here
Caller: hi I'm Maryann with Joffrey Dance Company
Me: hi
I said very happy
Caller: you had auditioned for our ballet summer intensive this past weekend right
Me: yes ma'am I did
Caller: we very much enjoyed your audition it truly hit all our favorite parts of a ballet piece and we loved the way you presented your body, so we'd like to offer you our 3rd spot on this years summer intensive
Me: oh my goodness yes ofcourse
Caller: wonderful could you give me an email or a parents email and I will send the appropriate paperwork that your family can fill out and a guardian must sign

Caller: wonderful I'll send it over in just a second you do know that this will include living on campus for 30 days, and you'll be fed each breakfast lunch and dinner
Me: yes ma'am thank you so much
Called: ofocurse have a wonderful day
Me: you too have a great day
I hung up internally screaming
Aiden: your head hit my chin
He rubbed his jaw
Me: your such a baby
I smiled
Aiden: whose Brently Griggs 12
Me: mee

Aiden: who was on the phone
Me: miss Maryann with Joffrey
Aiden: oooooooo what did she say? Exactly what I knew she'd say?
Me: she said -get this- they loved my performance and ' how I presented my body' and they want me to take the third spot
Aiden: you do have a super hot body and a good presentation of it
He laughed
Aiden: what does third  spot mean good bad or no meaning
Me: it means I was the third best dancer there was literally 2 girls they liked better then me that's fucking nuts
