We waited in the waiting room for the doctor to call us back
Nurse: Avery Griggs
We got up and went to her
Nurse: hi it's nice to meet you
Me: you too
We went back to this room
Nurse: alright you can go ahead and sit down
I sat in the chair
Nurse: so I'll need you to answer some questions
Me: ok
Nurse: when's your birthday
Me: February 18
Nurse: alright and when and how did you find out you were pregnant
Me: through a doctor about 2 weeks ago
Nurse: okay
She asked some more questions

And the doctor came in
Doctor: hello, Avery right
Me: yes
Doctor: and is this dad?
Me: yes
Doctor: wonderful my name is Catherine, you can call me whatever Catherine, doctor Catherine whatever works
Me: alright
Doctor: so being your first pregnancy everything's pretty safe but we're gonna do a through exam, so a Pap smear and make sure your all clean of any infections and abnormalities and then we'll run some blood tests
Me: okay
Doctor: great
She looked on the computer
Doctor: ok, you answered yes to a couple questions about abuse
Ohh
Doctor: I have to ask, are you currently in a abusive relationship, boyfriend husband wife family
Me: no no I just figured to not lie
Doctor: so this abuse is in the past
Me: far past
Doctor: ok then yeah we're gonna make sure everything's alright
She rolled over to my legs that were covered my a little sheet
Doctor: have you had a Pap smear before
Me: yeah
Doctor: alright so I don't have to explain everything
Me: nope
She gave me a Pap smear
Doctor: so right away everything seems fine but I'm gonna run it just to be sure
Me: okay
Doctor:  and your O negative dad do you know your blood type
Arden: AB positive I think
Doctor: alright
We went through a few more things
Doctor: so I'm prescribing you these two prenatal pills
Doctor: any questions or concerns mom?
Me: nope
Doctor: dad? Anything
Arden: yeah actually, she gets sick way too much it's like every day and not just in the morning
Doctor: well that might not be something too alarming morning sickness can be a all day occurrence especially in the first trimester but we can see if you might have hyperemesis gravidarum

Me: what's that
Doctor: it's really just excessive nausea vomiting and dehydration some even see weight loss but let's keep a eye out for that

Doctor: but morning sickness is very common and for some women it lasts longer but it should hopefully go away soon
Me: see
I looked to Arden
Arden: I just wanted to make sure
Catherine: no that's a good question
Catherine: and unless there's anymore your free to go

I fixed my clothes and got up and we left
Arden drove us to this furniture store
And we got a lot of shit

Dressers and a bed frame and bedside tables we took the lamps from the apartment
All the things we need to move in today
And luckily they Calais they could deliver and build tomorrow
So tonight's the last night in a hotel
