"Sif I don't know about this."

"Don't be so nervous," the warrior assures you, patting your back.  "I'm sure everything will go just fine."

"But he's my best friend's brother!"

"But he's the Prince of Asgard!"

"Way to make things easier."  The knots in your stomach began to grow and further twist.  As her friend, you said that you'd be there for Sif for whatever she needed.  You never expected one of those things to be her wingman and travel companion on a blind date.  She and Volstagg finally decided to have dinner, and to make things less awkward, they had turned it into a double date.

"Plus," she had told you, "the guy Volstagg is taking with us, me and him both know that he's got something for you."

It didn't take you long to guess it was Thor himself. It did raise concerns, for you knew he was in love with a Jane Foster from Midgard, where you were from.  But by Odin's request, he decided to try to find something in the women of Asgard.  It never occured to you that he would rest his eyes on you.

"Look, at least he's finally attempting to get over Jane," Sif adds.  "And he's going on this date willing!"

"I know, I know, but I'm still unsure."  You adjust your hair piece.

"I'll meet you downstairs."  Sif exits, leaving you to get yourself together in dress and in mind.

Okay, you tell yourself.  He's just another Asgardian.  He's just another man.  Nothing to be so worried about.

With a deep breath, you leave your room.  As you turn down the hall, you run right into another being, the force of the impact making you move back a couple of steps.

        Umph!

You look up, and Fandral is looking right back at you.  Next to him was Loki, which surprised you.  You knew the Warriors Three and he were trying to reconcile, but you never thought it would happen so fast.

        "Distracted, are we?" Fandral speaks.

"Sorry, I'm just...heading out."  You go to walk around, but Fandral takes your hand.

"Wait a minute."  He gently pulls you closer to him.  "I would like to know the name of the person who bumped into me, especially since she looks so ravishing."  You blush.

"Her name is (Y/N)," Loki snaps, standing a bit taller.  "And she's obviously very busy."  You turn quickly to him.

"Loki," you drag out, almost like a whine.  Fandral chuckles.

"Well, if you're not too busy tomorrow night," he says before he kisses your hand.  "I'd love to talk some more."

"She has a very busy schedule," Loki answers for you.  You glare at him.

"Actually," you sneer at him before turning back to Fandral, "I'm free tomorrow night."

"Great!  Meet me at the Bifrost?"

"Sure."  With that, you go to leave.  It's moments later when you feel a presence next to you.

        "What do you want, Loki?"

"If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times, you shouldn't get involved with him!"

"And yet again, for the thousandth time, why the realm not?!"
