H&J Lockdown

My film wrapped a few days later and even though I was supposed to stay in LA for a bit longer to do another short project but my heart wasn't in it. After weighing all my options I made the dreaded call to my team, letting them know they either had to pull from me from the small project or they could reschedule for it for when after Hero left for South Africa. To my surprise everyone, including the team for the project was willing to work with me and reschedule it.

I called Hero right away to let him know we would be coming home early. He wasn't as excited as I expected, or maybe just not as much as I was. I questioned him about it but he told me I was being crazy and just warned me he was going to be way busy between the next week getting ready to leave.

After a long stressful flight with Baby J and what felt like a even longer taxi ride to the house I was shocked to find a full on going away party going on at our house. Hero greeting us when we walked through the door and showered us with kisses and affection. He tried apologizing, saying the party was a surprise. I knew he was telling the truth and was just so happy to be back in his arms that I didn't think anything of it....

But now after being home for a couple of days I can see what he meant by he was going to be busy. Every night there was some kind of going away dinner with one group of friends we had to go to and even one birthday dinner that he had to attend. He had a public sporting event and some other last minute work things to take care of. He did try to include me in everything and if it was a private place me and baby J would go with him.

Our time together was running out and I was beginning to feel like I had seen more of his friends then him but I didn't want to start a fight before he left so I didn't say anything because he seemed to be enjoying it as much as me... but finally i broke one morning while we were laying in bed cuddling, baby J sandwiched in-between us.

"So... you leave in 3 days... how many more of your friends do you have to see before you leave?"

"Jo don't start, they are just being supportive."

"I mean this is normal to do with your close friends. But once the word got around you were leaving everyone has been bothering you."

"Well i have many close friends and not all of them are on the same schedule but you will be happy to know i am all yours for the next 3 days." Hero tells me, raising his pinky finger for a pinky promise.

I roll my eyes at him, knowing i haven't seen the last of his friends but i connect my pinky with his and we shake. Deciding now is better then never i ask the question thats been heavy on mind since i was approved to go back home just days ago. "So how would you feel about me and her visiting my parents while you are gone?"
