Chapter~11 I can't promise because I have a tendency to break them often

"I wish I knew how to quit you."

                                   ~Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx

We walked towards Warren's sparkling white Lamborghini, with me and Callum laughing over some sick joke that Jade had sent him. He was holding a few bags of mine in his right hand while his left hand was clutching his stomach. The rest of the bags were being held by Warren who was in some kind of self-rage whilst he walked ahead of us, a cigarette in his hands.

Trust me, I was really willing to pull that obnoxious thing straight out of his mouth and give him a full blown lecture as to how dangerous it was to smoke. He could die for heaven's sake!

But of course, people don't understand unless their end is right in front of them, which is ridiculous.

"Jade, man you killed it!" Cal exclaimed, putting an arm around my shoulder, making warmth flow in to my body.

"Yeah right," I laughed along with him.

Warren's car came into view, standing in all its glory as it outshone other cars with its shimmering white paint. Opening the back door, Warren threw the bags inside as he aimed for the driver's seat with us following behind. Once he was sat in his seat and Callum thrust the bags, he was holding awhile ago, in the back I decided to sit in the passenger's seat, which was okay with Callum as he was already sliding in the back seat.

Opening the door, I was about to get in when Warren decided to interrupt, "Callum, sit in the passenger's seat," he instructed to which I snapped my eyes to him in annoyance.

Cal shot me a look and mumbled an 'okay' after throwing Warren a weird glance at his sudden change of mood. Remembering that I'd already managed to piss him off one too many times today, I put on a blank façade which was my way of letting him know that it didn't bother me as much as it did from inside because I knew he was taking revenge for what occurred in that 'Strawberry' store as well as that one time when I'd poured my drink on his shirt, accidently.

Okay fine that was not an accident!

After we switched our seats, the car roared to life.

After a few moments, Callum's phone decided to ring and he picked it up with a groan, "Don't tell me you're afraid and can't go to the washroom alone," I couldn't help but snicker at that joke that Callum pulled.

Warren shot him a look and he mouthed a sorry to him before connecting back to whoever he was talking to.

"Yeah go ahead," he said into the phone catching my gaze as he seemed to be devoid of any hints of amusement in his voice at the moment. Even Warren held a hint of worry in his eyes, from what I could decipher from his expressions from looking into the rear-view mirror.

I felt cold due to the fact that Warren's window was open, giving way to the cool air to enter the car. Wrapping my arms around myself to gain some warmth, I got rid of my shoes and sat with my legs criss-crossed.

"Are you sure, Jade?" Callum asked, worry etched onto his features and I noticed how Warren's eye brows scrunched up and his shoulders stiffened. Could he hear whatever Jade was saying on the phone? Be serious, Abi. I guess I'm going even more insane by being with that jerk of a prince.

Bless my soul, Jesus.

Cal ended the call and both of them shared a look, before Warren's eyes were back to the road ahead, which was nearly vacant. I could only spot two-three cars ahead of us as the sun began to set and darkness took over.
