Chapter~14 I had a notion that you were crazy but you proved it just now

His name sounded so relishing right now. So soothing. Something that had never happened before. His name never sounded this relaxing before. There was something about it that made me want to forget my pain for an instant.

"Make I-It s-stop!" I shrieked, sweat forming on my forehead as I felt my eyes droop as if I hadn't slept for days. The stinging slowly crippled up my arms as it shoot through my head, giving me a headache. I wanted to cry, scream and do literally anything to get rid of this aching. But I just couldn't find it in me to move even an inch, afraid that it'll just worsen, perhaps diminishing the distance between someone to no one.

"Ava! What are you doing?!" Jade snapped, enraged as his panicked eyes glazed over my suffering body.

"I am not doing anything now. I've halted all for Warren's sake," her stiff voice was overflowing with hatred and was enough to provoke another series of painful explosions. Shivering, I didn't dare look in her direction afraid that a simple eye contact with her would be ample to turn me into ashes.

Darkness threatened to consume me and all of this oddly felt like déja vu.

Moreover, I couldn't help but chant Warren's name in my head as if hoping he'll sense that something was happening to me, something dangerous.

"What do we do now? We can't let her bear the pain like this knowing that Warren might be going crazy as too," It was Callum's calm voice that willed me to crack open my eyes and take a look at him, when the haziness allowed me.

"The effect is going to remain for at least a day but if you want it to stop quickly...then Warren is the only key. I can't believe it, I was so stupid to make her suffer knowing that Warren would be bearing as much as her," Ava's regretful words spiked my curiosity, but unfortunately,  I couldn't speak. It was as if my lips were sealed together and my throat so hoarse almost making it seem like I had been living in a desert.

So many questions whizzed through my mind, so many possibilities, confusions and theories that I never knew existed.

"Alright, we're going back home," Jade's final decision brought me to breathe out a sigh of relief, which was well weird.

JADE'S POV

When I'd first met her in that restaurant, I was a hundred percent sure that she was the one for Warren and that destiny was once again right to pair them together, as mates. As time flew by, I had began to think of her as my little sister, someone I never had the luck to meet. Her smile was so contagious and so was her big brown innocent eyes. The way she talked reminded me of my olden days when I also used to be a crazy teenager without a care in the world. Her rebellious attitude was what I thought was a perfect combination for Warren who was a controlling freak. She was always fun to be around and never did she ever give up or cry about the fact that she was away from every one she loved, which was really astonishing to know.

And moments ago when Avalana said all those words about that sweet little girl, I couldn't help but object.

"I never expected she would do something like this," I mumbled, my eyes fixated on the road ahead of me, a fire burning in them. I was so disappointed with Avalana, anyone would have been if they would have known her for a century. Never in the history of a 100 years had she acted the way she did upon meeting Abigail, a mere human. She was always so calm and collected when it came to handling any situation, let it be dealing with another clan or a witch.
