Chapter-26 I called you a doofus.
Things change. People change. But the life goes on.
However, when Warren kissed me, things did change but it seemed as if my world stopped. My life stopped. I forgot how to breathe. In this moment, he wasn't a vampire nor I was a partial human. Rather this was just the beginning of another love story. A tale which was flabbergasting and unheard of.
We were a love story that never happened before.
His lips were soft and luscious as they moved against my own, at first at a leisurely pace instigating a hundred different emotions which were foreign to me.It was like I was reinvigorated when our lips came in contact.
For a moment, I was frozen and unmoving at my spot as his lips molded against my own, his nails digging in to my skin and our chests practically touching. However, the moment he took up his pace, I was brought back to reality and without wasting a second, I responded, ignoring what the logical part of my brain was telling me.
I was myself surprised that I was kissing the one person I'd come to hate in the entire world. The one person who did not actually care about me, his mate, because he was blinded by the desire to acquire the power and authority over every vampire,to become a king. He had a heart made of stone. He was cold, tactless and callous.
And I wasn't really certain whether I could change him and melt his stone cold heart.
My hands grabbed a fistful of his hair, as the same desire pooled in my stomach causing heat to spread in my entire body. I kissed him back with equal vigor and passion, finding it absolutely amazing the way he kissed me with need and power. We were in another world, in another sphere where nothing existed other than us.
It felt like he'd been holding himself back for so long, frightened of something perhaps. I couldn't quite say. His hands roamed my body, before he settled one of his hands on my waist and with the other one, he cupped my cheek, in an attempt to bring me even more close to him.
He bit my bottom lip, seeking permission to enter. My lips parted almost instantly, providing him with entrance. His tongue swiped across my lips as he began to explore my mouth. Our tongues were caught in an intense battle. I was now backed up against the wall, as he caged me by placing his hands on either of my sides.
I ran out of breath and the kiss broke apart, however, he continued to plant butterfly kisses on my neck, and I arched my body to give him more access.
Something snapped inside me and I couldn't quite fathom what was happening because I was blinded by the overwhelming need that I felt to just be impossibly close to him, so that there was nothing separating us. No boundaries. No hurdles.
I pushed him against a wall in a swift motion and advanced towards him quickly, noticing how his fangs were protruding out of his mouth and how his eyes were a glistening golden in color, the monster within him endeavoring to take over his sanity.
In one quick motion, I was against him, as I planted kisses starting from his collar bone to his jaw, bunching up the material of his shirt in my hands. His muscles tensed under my touch as he buried his nails in my arms, but I didn't even feel the pain. All I felt was the intense emotions, breaking me, destroying me.
