Chapter Thirty

Third Person POV

A knock sounded at the day as the fifth day since the battle ended came. Jasper stood, waiting for someone to answer so that he could learn what had became of Belle and what he could tell his family. The male vampire not believing that she was reduced to a coma that she wouldn't wake up from.

He didn't believe the wolves even though he knew they weren't lying.

Opening the door Elijah all but went to slam it shut once again anger and annoyance feeling him. Jasper reached out, stopping him, sensing his emotions.

"I just want to see how she is."

Elijah eyes darkened.

"Your family the reason my sister is like that."

Jasper felt guilt but knew they weren't to be blamed.

"I might be able to help."

Belle, unaware to what was happening around, found herself in a nightmare that was more real than fake. She knew that something was terribly wrong with her and no matter what she did tried to fight the darkness that continued to take her.

She couldn't help but wonder if what she was feeling was anything like getting staked.

Belle felt a cold sensation, a sharp burning pain that flowed through her. A pain that she was familiar with. Her whimpers still as clear as ever as she tried to get away from it.

She felt as warmth filled her, her senses becoming stronger then before.

"Belle?"

She knew that voice.

Blinking, Belle slowly opened her eyes, grimacing at the bright light. The events of what happened flooding through her, the feeling of fear hitting her just as quickly before disappearing. Jasper grinned at her, relieved that it had worked.

She was going to be fine.

"Why do I hear another heartbeat?" Belle asked, slowly sitting up with the help of Jasper.

Her world spinning for a second as she adjusted to be more alive then dead. A deep hunger hitting her before she pushed it away.

Belle found herself needing to wait as she needed to see how everyone else came out of the battle. She needed to make sure that the vampire, Bree, was still alive and doing well. That none of the wolves were hurt after she was taken down.

Elijah hearing his sister stepped forward, giving her a smile.

Belle stared at him in surprised.

"This is a dream," she mumbled, disappointed. "I'm still stuck."

Belle longed to be free of her nightmare. She wanted this to be real but she knew that her brother wasn't here. She knew he hadn't came to Forks and that he didn't care for the message that she gave him.

"I'm very much real, Sister," Elijah said.

Belle looked to Jasper.

"We're blaming Edward," she said, before throwing herself into her brothers arm.

Jasper chuckled, understanding what Belle meant.

Elijah arms wrapped around his sister, feeling as she buried her head into his chest. He tightened his hold on her, staring at the top of her brown hair in relief.

He didn't know what he would've done if she hadn't woke up.

"You're alive," he said.

Belle chuckled, feeling relieved herself.

"It's a miracle, right?" she mumbled, not pulling back. "Honestly, I expect it to be one of the werewolves here to be my near death experience. Not another vampire."

Elijah shook his head.

"Can you not go one day without trying to get yourself killed?" He asked, watching as Belle pulled back with a wide grin.

"I wouldn't be a Mikaelson then," she said, before turning so she could look at Jasper. "Thank you, Jasper." She was sure that it was because of him that she was alive again. "Thank you."

Jasper nodded.

"You're like family to us," Jasper said, feeling Elijah disapproval.

Belle chuckled, resting her head on Elijah's chest. The vampire knew that now she would have to fill her brother in on everything that happened and choice rather she would remain in this town that seemed to be bent on killing her or leaving. She didn't know which she would pick but she knew whichever decision it was would change her future without a doubt.

She couldn't help but wonder what other adventures awaited her in this town.
