Chapter Twenty-Five

My eyes flashed opened as I slowly sat up with my head pounding. A low threatening growl escaped me as I realized what Edward had done and vowed to make him regret that very decision. He'll wish he'd never meet me by the time I was through with him.

Getting up from the bed that I was laid on my eyes fall to his destroyed phone before landing on mine that sat on the bedside table. Looking at the window I knew that it couldn't have been that long since he had left.

A few hours at the least. A day at the most.

I walked to the window, throwing open the curtains before feeling the sensation on my skin. I flinched, smoke raising as I stepped out of the sun lights.

My eyes fall to my hand that was ringless.

He was dead.

I was going to rip his head off and burn him into ashes.

No one - no one! - touched my ring.

Avoiding the light I moved around the room and grabbed my phone. Picking up I saw at least 10 missed calls from Alice, and a majority from the rest of the Cullen family. Wasting no time I called her back.

She would be able to tell me what I needed to know.

She would tell me where Edward went.

"Belle!" Alice shouted, relief in her voice. "Why haven't you been answering! Rosalie said she heard arguing between you and Edward after she told you that Bella had jumped from the cliff."

A soft voice said sorry to Alice in the background.

"Where did he go, Alice?" I demanded.

Alice waited a second. "Bella's alive." She said, finding this more important.

"Alice, where did Edward go." Each word came out slowly and threateningly.

She was going to have to tell me.

"To get himself killed."

Of course, which meant I had been right about that.

"How long do I have?"

I grabbed a sheet my backpack that I had carried with me since the moment I joined Edward. I dumped it out my eyes landing on the hoodie that I kept at the very bottom.

"I don't know." She said, still not seeing me. "They already made a decision on this matter a long time ago. They will refuse his offer when he arrives but Edward already made another plan if that's the case. He'll expose himself!" The fear was in her voice.

She thought she was going to lose a brother. He wasn't allowed to die until after I was finished with him.

I refused to allow anyone else the honor of killing him.

He was mine.

"Alice, you need to think! His life is in danger and I'm the only one that will reach him in time." I snarled, walking out of the building while making sure that no skin was exposed to the burning sun wave.

Why did I have to be effected by the sun?

Why couldn't I have sparkled?

It wouldn't made things so much easier.

"I can't see you!" She sounded desperate.

I looked around to make sure that no one was paying attention to me. "You have to." I ordered, knowing that Alice had to find a way to see me in her vision.

Slipping in I checked to see if there was any spare keys.

"How! You never appeared before." Alice sounded like she had given up hope on seeing me.

I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath. I had to fousc.

What would Klaus do in this situation? Kill whoever was the problem.

Wrong brother to think about but there was Elijah. He was cooled headed. What would he do?

"Then force it to happen." I pleaded, taking another deep breath. "I'm going to chase after Edward and you have to force yourself to see that. I'm going to be desperate to reach him and to change his mind before it became to late."

The car stuttered before roaring to life. Someone noticed, before shouting and pointing a finger at me. Wasting not another second I pressed against the paddle, causing the car to launch forward before speeding off.

It was too late for someone to stop me and I knew that they wouldn't catch me.

"I -- I see you." Alice said, relief filling me.

Then it was working.

"Where am I?" I asked.

"Outside the clock tower." She said, sounding like she was struggling to see it. "He... he was about to enter, no he does enter!"

I flinched.

"No!! I refuse to allow that to happen. Look, Alice. Look for a future that shows him not going in." I pleaded, needed to know that this wasn't going to be in vein.

I had to know that I would reach him.

"I can't see it."

I pressed even harder against the gas refusing to accept that.

"I promise, Alice, that I'll get to Edward before he get's himself killed." I wasn't about to lose him. "I'll save him Alice or I'll distract him long enough for you and that human to."

I couldn't lose Edward.

Not like this.

And not because of a human.
