Chapter Eight

Alice pulled outside of what I would assume to be Bella's house, though she made no attempt to get out as her car came to a stop. Frowning I looked back out the window and to the three cars that were parked outside of the place.

"Are we going in or.." I trailed off, glancing towards Alice as I waited for her answer. "I'm all for stalking people but I prefer someone the opposite gender. Muscles would be nice to. Maybe really good looking with mesmerizing eyes."

I watched her roll her eyes.

"There's people here that I didn't see coming." She said.

I shrugged, looking back at the house. I could hear four different heartbeats in side of it and nothing else that would indicate that there was more then four people. I knew for sure that one of them had to be Bella.

"Right, well I mean technically I don't have to met --"

"Yes you do."

"Not reall--"

"If you plan on staying you do."

"But ano--"

"It needs to be today."

I sighed, giving up.

"Fine! It's not like I need you there when I meet her. I'm not going to harm her anyways and if this means getting on your good side what choice do I have?" I grumbled, frowning.

Why was I trying to get on their good side! I'm the older vampire here.

I wasn't threatened by them.

"She'll invite me in, right?" I asked, knowing that unless she did I wouldn't be able to step foot in side. "Or is she the type to slam the door in my face? She might think I'm here to kill her." I pointed out.

Alice once again rolled her eyes.

"Go! Edward doesn't know that I'm doing this." Alice said, a grin forming on her face. "I need you two to hurry up and become friends. Then we can go shopping!"

I could feel her excitement without needing a power to.

Great, somebody who liked shopping.

"Oh god.." I grumbled. "I'll go in as long as you promise not to drag me shopping for at least the next three months!" I bargained.

A pain look appeared on her face.

"Two weeks."

"Four months."

"Three weeks."

"Six months!"

It seemed like she ffinally figured out that I'll keep going higher if she didn't agree.

"Fine, three months!"

I smirked, clearly amused that the idea of her not having someone to shop with was so painful. "Deal. For the next three months I'm free of any shopping spares you might've tried to plan." I said, grabbing the handle and stepping out. "One mission down and on to the next."

I didn't even want to get to know Bella.

To me she wasn't anything special. She wasn't some bloodline that would reverse my vampirism. She didn't even smell better then the other humans that I had been around though I knew that her blood would taste differently because she was younger.

Knowing her didn't seem to benefit me in the slightest unless I planned on annoying Edward.

That might be interesting actually.
