You looked into the gentle eyes of the red-headed Mandalorian, "I have heard of you, you were a leader in the Death Watch."
She shook her head and motioned for you to sit with her near the basin of water, "formerly of Death Watch, now I am the same as you, only I am also the rightful ruler of Mandalore."
You nodded and sat across from her, "then why are you here on Concordia and not in the capital city?"
She chuckled, "because my world was corrupted, my sister tried for years to root it out and create a peaceful Mandalore, but she was betrayed and it cost her her life."
"I heard about the Duchess, Satine, she was quite the leader," you replied, "I was saddened to hear about her death."
Bo-Katan nodded and poured two glasses from the water basin, "my sister was many things, a coward was never one of them."
You both sat in silence for a few minutes before you moved on, "are you going to tell me where my friends are?"
She chuckled, "they are safe, recovering like you."
You nodded, "why have you helped us?"
She smiled like she was waiting for that question the whole time, "we saw the star destroyers from the other side of the moon," she explained, "we have no love for the empire, so we came to check it out. I was thinking that we would catch the imperials doing business with the ones that have taken over my home, but instead we found a Jedi and her clones fighting an impossible battle."
You lifted your water glass to her, "well thank you."
Bo-Katan laughed, "don't thank me, I was not going to help you at first," she replied, "but I saw you sacrifice yourself for that little girl," she paused, "it reminded me of something my sister would do, so I decided to help you."
You smiled, "no matter the motive, I am grateful for the help."
Bo-Katan finished her water and stood up, "I will take you to your friends," she said, waiting for you to follow, "most of them were in pretty rough shape, but they all woke up a few days ago."
You eagerly followed her outside. She tossed you a cloak, "it's pretty cold this time of day, you might want this," she said, "I will have new clothes made for you, since your old ones were destroyed."
You nodded in thanks and wrapped the cloak around your shoulders. She led you through a makeshift camp, until she stopped in front of a larger tent. "You'll find all of them inside," Bo- Katan explained, "your weapons and armor will be returned to you, we have to confiscate all of their things to stop them from trying to find you."
You chuckled, "they are persistent."
She nodded and motioned for you to enter the tent. You pulled back the side of the flap and stepped in.
The tent was covered in the soft yellow light of a few candles. You could make out a group of men huddled in the corner, unbothered by your presence.
They spoke in hushed voices to one another, still giving you no attention.
You smiled to yourself and cleared your throat, "I thought you would be happy to see me?"
The voices stopped, "general?" Echo whispered.
You stepped into the light of the candles, "hello boys."
You were immediately bombarded by all four men, crushing you in a tight group hug. "We have been trying to look for you," Wrecker said.
"They took our things," Tech added.
"I know, I know," you responded as they let you go, "I've spoken with their leader."
"Are they truly mandalorians?" Echo asked.
"Their armor is bescar," Tech added, "only a mandalorian is allowed to wear it."
You chuckled, "they are Mandalorian, their leader is Bo-Katan Krise, the rightful ruler of their planet."
Echo, Wrecker and Tech all started arguing with one another about the legends of the mandalorians and the death watch. You smiled and moved to the side of the tent, Hunter followed you.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
You jumped into his arms and wrapped him in a tight hug, "yes I am alright."
He was surprised for a moment, but quickly wrapped his arms around you, burying his face in your hair. "I refuse to lose you again," he whispered.
"You never will," you whispered back.
You sat in Hunter's arms for some time, laughing and talking with the others. It felt good to be carefree for a while, something you never got the chance to do.
But your peace was interrupted by Bo-Katan walking into the tent, "Come with me, Jedi, there is something I need to show you."
