Just as you were about to run towards Omega, you saw the Inquisitor push Obi-Wan's body through the air, colliding with you and Ahsoka, knocking the air from your lungs. Obi-Wan was bruised from the fight and could barely stand, Ahsoka had hit the wall hard and she lay unconscious underneath him. You could barely breath, trying desperately to catch your breath with the weight of Obi-Wan's body still pressing on your chest.

You saw the red light of the Inquisitor's blade coming closer, although you could not make out the shape of him. The light got closer, but there wasn't a thing you any of you could do to stop him, he was too quick.

But from the corner of your eye, you saw a dark shape run into him, plowing him over and knocking him to the side. You were finally able to see clearly, as air finally reached your lungs, but you still had to draw enough strength to get out from under Obi-Wan's muscular frame.

You glanced over and saw the large frame of Wrecker, throwing fists and headbuts at the unsuspecting Inquisitor, who was unable to do anything but absorb Wrecker's blows in turn. You knew it was only a matter of time until the Inquisitor got the upper hand, so you used all your strength to climb out, you were on your hands and knees when you looked again, only to see the red blade swipe across the stomach of Wrecker.

You reached for him, screaming his name, only to watch the Inquisitor strike again. Wrecker dropped to both knees, only feet from you, his helmet falling off and you saw his twisted pained face. The Inquisitor aimed against, his strong blow coming down, catching Wrecker across the chest.

Your world went hollow for a moment, like all life was sucked from it as you took in an agonizing breath mixed with shock and fear. You screamed in pain that you felt, like someone had completely ripped out your heart. You could hear nothing, but the force of your scream threw the Inquisitor back several hundred feet, knocking him into heavy mining equipment.

When reality moved again, you heard the yells of the clones as they ran towards you, but you crawled the distance to Wrecker's body, catching him as he fell backwards into your arms. He looked up at you, although you could tell there was not much life in them.

"General," he whispered.

"Shhhh," you soothed as the rest of the batch and Omega kneeled next to you, "you'll be okay."

"Wrecker..." Omega asked, tears already streaming down her face.

Wrecker turned his head towards her voice, reaching out his hand for hers, "hey there kid," he tried putting on his best smile, but it was twisted in pain.

Omega smiled at him through her tears. "Do me a favor and watch over my brothers," Wrecker said to her, "it'll be your new mission."

You smiled at the sentiment as he turned to the rest of the clones, nodding to each of them in return, "now you look after the general, I didn't save her so you guys could mess it up." He laughed and the others smiled in amusement and sadness, each placing a hand on his body in comfort.

You could tell he was in pain, and there was not much life left in him. Wrecker reached up to brush a tear off your face, one of the most gentle gestures he has ever made before flashing you with a smile, "don't cry for me general," he whispered, "it was always my duty to save you."

You shook your head, "it was never about that Wrecker, you were and will always be my brother."

His eyes closed, but a content smile crossed his face, "we were a family, weren't we?"

Tears streamed down your eyes uncontrollably as you felt his spirit leave and a hole left in your heart. The clones removed their helmets, their red swollen eyes no longer concealed. You carefully lifted Wrecker's body off of your lap, laying him down gently before placing a kiss on his forehead, "thank you," you whispered to his lifeless body.

Hunter grabbed your shoulder, pulling you off the ground and into his arms. You shook your head, anger and sadness minging in your emotions, "too many people have died for me," you said in denial, "I am not worthy of it."

"You are," Hunter said grabbing you face and forcing you to look in his eyes, "all this time you have been focused on what you deserve, but these people are here for you, they fight for you," he explained, "it's not about what you deserve, its about who you are, you are worthy of their sacrifice, so now it is time to do something with the second chances you are given."

You nodded, allowing Hunter to bring you focus. You kept nodding until Hunter heard your heartbeat relex and he let go, sighing in relief, "now what is our next play?"

"Omega has to leave," you replied, "and you're going with her."
