You made your way back to the ship with Ahsoka, leaving Omega to continue her training by herself. You led Ahsoka back into the ship where everyone was sitting in the common area.
"Ah general, commander," Tech greeted, "we have been monitoring transmissions and there seems to be no alarm that we have not arrived yet."
"Excellent," you replied.
"The ruler there will come swiftly once an alarm is raised," Ahsoka added, "she is ruthless."
"Yes," you replied, resting your chin on your hand, "I am familiar with the Magistrate, she is a mercenary and on the payroll of the Mining Guild and the Empire, we should not linger."
"Where is Omega?" Hunter interrupted.
"Training," Ahsoka answered swiftly, "you can see her anytime."
"I thought you said you could not train her?" Echo asked.
Ahsoka chuckled, "to use the force, I have not, but to defend herself, to fight, that I can teach her."
"Then I don't understand why she can't stay with you," Echo replied.
"What is your issue, Echo?" Hunter asked.
Echo scoffed, "I just don't think we want to bring Omega back into all of this, we don't even know what we will be doing come tomorrow."
"But Omega should come with us!" Wrecked added.
You looked at Ahsoka and she was chuckling, you rolled your eyes and stood up, "enough! I don't want Omega to have this life either, but she needs to come with us."
"To go where?" Tech asked.
"We will reconnect with Cid, see if she has any more contacts," you answered.
"Be mercenaries again?" Echo asked.
"No," you replied, "but we have to start somewhere."
Echo nodded, but you could tell he was not happy. You turned to the others and they all nodded to you. Then you turned to Ahsoka, "where is our girl?"
Suddenly a young voice came from outside the ship, "did you really come back to take me?"
You spun on your heels, met with the face of Omega. Up close you could tell that she grew, got stronger, older and more alive. "Hi, Omega," you whispered.
She looked at you sadly, but there was still a spark in her eyes. A smile broke on her face as she ran and bounded into your open arms. You allowed yourself to wrap her in a tight hug, letting out a deep breath and letting her presence comfort you. It felt right to have her back, right to have come back for her, right to have her with you.
"I thought you died," she whispered into your shoulder, "I thought I would never see you all again."
You pulled away, but kept her at arms length, "I wasn't sure I would see you again either, but look at how much you have grown."
She smiled proudly and looked back at Ahsoka, "master Tano has been teaching me a few things, I can defend myself now, and sometimes I can make things move without touching them, but she says that it will come with practice."
You nodded to her and smiled, then guided her shoulders to see the clones behind you, "I think the boys missed you too," you whispered with a wink.
She laughed and ran into the open arms of the batch, you smiled at the group hug behind you, but turned to Ahsoka and motioned for her to follow you outside.
"She loves you," Ahsoka commented as you stood with her in the clearing.
"She is important to me," you admitted, "she was the moment I saw her."
Ahsoka smiled, "every master and padawan have a relationship like that, it's love and pride."
You looked at her mischievously, "I know what you are insinuating, and how could I?"
Ahsoka chuckled, "I merely said I would not train her, not that you could not."
You looked down, your smile fading, "if what you say is true, how could I do that to her?"
Her face turned seriously as well, "meditate on it, perhaps my thoughts are wrong, but the call is yours," she explained, "you were always more wise than I."
You laughed at her and placed a hand on her shoulder, "well, I am older." You both laughed and turned back to the ship, as you walked up the steps Ahsoka paused and you turned to her.
"When will I see you again, master," she asked.
You smiled, "I am sure a time will come when we meet again, may the force be with you Ahsoka."
She smiled back at you before pulling up her cloak and disappearing into the forest. You smiled as she left, thinking of how great it was to see her again, how great it was to know she is alive. You smiled at the distant memory of young Ahsoka in the jedi temple and how grown she is now. Then you turned back to the ship and walked inside, greeted by the smiling faces and laughter of your little family whole again.
