You, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka sat cross-legged alone in the cavern on Polis Massa. "Bo-Katan sends her regards (Y/N)," Obi-Wan spoke, "they had to be pulled back to Mandalore urgently."
You nodded in understanding but said nothing. "You sent Hunter away with Omega," Obi-Wan confirmed, "will you follow him?"
You shook your head. "Why not?" Ahsoka interjected, "I saw how close you were."
You nodded, looking up at both of them with watery eyes, "I love him," you whispered, "which is why I have to let him go."
"The Jedi order is no longer in control," Ahsoka continued, "you don't have to hide your attachment anymore."
"It was never about that," you explained, "clearly the Inquisitors are hunting me, and they can find me anywhere, to go with them is to endanger him, and to endanger Omega."
Obi-Wan nodded in understanding, "you fear being around them would only result in another battle like this one?"
You nodded sadly, "so what now?"
Ahsoka sighed, "we should stay together, I mean we are all alone now."
Obi-Wan shook his head, "allow this to be my final lesson," he began, "we all have to find our place in the force now, and to find where we truly belong, and we have to do so alone."
"Where will you go?" you asked him.
"I already have a mission," Obi-Wan answered, "there is a child I am watching over, I have already left him unprotected for too long, he is of great importance."
You and Ahsoka both nodded, "I guess, I am going to find someone where quiet, maybe Thabeska," Ahsoka replied, "the farmers there are always in need of mechanics and it would be a quiet place to think."
You nodded, but remained silent, "where are you going to go, Master?" she asked.
"I don't know," you responded, "I would like to say I could find a quiet place and just stay there, but I am not sure I can get out of this fight so easily."
"You want to stay in the fight so the Inquisitors focus on you and not Omega and Hunter?" Obi-Wan guessed.
"Perceptive," you chuckled, "if I have their attention, if I keep fighting, they will come after me and not them."
"So where will you go to fight?" Ahsoka asked, curious.
"Young Hera has invited me to join a small Rebel cell on Lothol," you explained, "we would be more of an annoyance than a threat, but I think it is just what I am looking for."
Obi-Wan and Ahsoka both nodded, before you all stood up, smiling at one another. "I don't suppose, I'll see either one of you again," Ahsoka said, a sad yet teasing smirk on her face.
You chuckled, "I don't know Ahsoka, perhaps one day."
"You never know what the future could look like," Obi-Wan added.
Ahsoka turned and gave you both a small salute before walking to the hanger where her ship was, "I'll see you around masters, just try to stay out of trouble for a while."
You both smiled at her as she walked out of the main hanger. Obi-Wan then turned his attention to you, holding up his hand with something wrapped in cloth, "a gift from Bo-Katan," he said, offering it to you.
You gently grabbed the cloth and flipped it open, revealing the darksaber hilt. "She said that she still needed to earn it, that if she was meant to have it, it would come back to her people," Obi-Wan explained.
You nodded before wrapping the cloth back around the hilt. "You should take it," you said, placing the hilt back in his hand, "if I am going back into the fight, I don't want it to end up in the wrong hands."
Obi-Wan looked confused, "you wielded it like an extension of yourself, it has chosen to be commanded by you."
You shook your head, "I have seen the path of the darkness that follows those with such a power, please take it back to Tattooine and hide it. It will be safer with you."
He hesitated, but gently put the wrapped hilt back under his robes. "I don't suppose I can talk you out of joining the rebels?"
You smirked, "it is what you would do."
Obi chuckled, "yes, but you have always been wiser than I. Finding a remote planet to just live out the rest of your days on, doesn't sound so bad."
"It doesn't," you replied, "but we were both taught that when you can help someone, you have to do it, even if you risk yourself to do it."
Obi-Wan smiled, "I just want you to stay safe, we may be the only jedi left in the galaxy."
Your eyes got wide for a moment, Obi-Wan noticed and looked at you curiously, "what is it?"
"I never told you how I spoke with the masters," you said, "I never told you what they showed me."
