You expected to see a blockade around the planet, but instead there were a few merchant vessels waiting for an open landing platform.
"Look like the mining guild runs this planet," Tech explained gesturing to the single control ship in orbit.
"They won't have as many regulations as the Empire," you replied, "but they still report to them, we should be cautious."
"Shuttle 4534, this is Corvis control, please state your business," a voice came over the open channel.
Tech looked at you and you spoke into the com device, "Corvis control, we were rerouted from decommissioning base on Corellia, we carry arms and ammunition for the city of Caladan."
"Stand by," the voice replied.
"Are you sure that is going to work?" Wrecker whispered.
You nodded, "I know the Magistrate of the capital, she will not turn away weaponry."
"What do we do when the weaponry never arrives?" Echo asked.
"We hope that our presence goes unnoticed and leave before anyone finds out," you replied.
"Shuttle 4534," the voice came back, "you are cleared for landing, please proceed to landing platform 7."
You switched off the open channel and relaxed, "take us directly to Ahsoka's location, Tech, you explained, stay away from the capital."
He nodded in response and guided the ship into the upper atmosphere of the forest planet. As you descended, Tech seemed to be guiding you to a clearing in the forest that was several hundred miles west of the capital city.
"Ahsoka's coordinates are right in the middle of that clearing," Tech explained pointing to it.
"Touch down there," you replied, "might as well make it known we are here."
Tech began the landing cycle and the rest of you gathered your things to exit the ship. You stood at the bay doors, anxious. "Are we sure this is the right thing?" Echo asked.
"What do you mean?" Wrecker asked, "Omega is one of us!"
Echo rolled his eyes, "I only mean that it does not change the fact that she is not safe with us either."
You took a deep breath, "come on," you said as the doors began to open. You walked out slowly followed by the rest, but as you looked around you could not see anyone, no signs of habitation.
"Are you sure you decoded the coordinates right?" Hunter asked, also looking around.
Tech pulled out his datapad and began typing, "I am 90% sure I decoded them correctly."
"90%?!" Wrecker said all too loudly.
"Let me see," Echo said, pulling on the datapad.
"I am the analyst," Tech argued holding the datapad out of Echo's reach.
Wrecker grabbed the datapad from Tech's hands, "I am clearly the brains of this operation," he said, "I should take a look."
Hunter looked at you and rolled his eyes. But you smiled, you sensed something from on top of the ship, "nice to see you again, Padawan Tano," you shouted to where you sensed her, you said it loud enough to draw the attention of the others and they stopped fighting.
"Good to see you too, Master," her voice came. Seconds later a figure appeared on top of the ship, and she jumped down gracefully landing next to you.
Ahsoka pulled back her hood, revealing her smiling face, "you grew up," you said to her with a smile. She laughed and pulled you into a hug, which you returned, squeezing her tightly.
The clones looked a little confused standing around watching your exchange, "allow me to introduce you to my squad," you said after finally pulling away, "this is Hunter, Tech, Echo and Wrecker."
Ahsoka smiled, "nice to meet you, I'm Ahsoka Tano."
They nodded to her in turn, but you could tell Ahsoka wanted to speak to you desperately, "boys, why don't you scan for incoming ships and make sure we were not tracked, monitor transmissions from the capital."
They nodded and walked back onto the ship, but Hunter lingered. You locked eyes with him and nodded before he turned his back and walked into the ship after the others.
"I have to say I was surprised when Rex showed up with a message and a child," Ahsoka explained as you fell into step with her and wandered around in the trees.
You chuckled, "you were the only one I knew to contact, and I knew Rex would have kept in touch with you."
She nodded, "after the Empire fell, Rex came looking for me, to make sure I survived, I was being hunted, so it wasn't safe to stay with him."
"And now?" you asked.
Her head fell, "I killed the one hunting me, it was a Slaver, not connected to the Empire," she explained, "then I found this place, it is easy to go unnoticed if you never go to the capital."
You nodded, "it's a peaceful place."
"That, and no one else knows I live, so no one is looking for me," she replied.
"You're doing better than me," you explained, "I made a few imperial enemies along the way, now it is only a matter of time until they start hunting me again."
She smiled at you mischievously, "I heard about your encounter on Concordia, Rex said it was quite the show."
You laughed, "well sometimes I can be one for the dramatic flair."
She laughed for a moment and then turned serious, "I really am sorry, but I cannot train Omega, she will be found the sooner she embraces her powers, and she has too many attachments."
"Attachments are not what cause a Jedi to fall," you explained, "attachment makes us strong, I always wished the council would have understood that."
She nodded, "regardless, they will find her and I cannot give her those tools."
You placed a hand on her shoulder, "it's alright, I knew it was a long shot sending her to you, I just wanted her to be safe if anything happened to us."
She smiled and gestured up a hill, you could make out the figure of Omega practicing her fighting skills. "She has improved so much," Ahsoka commented, "she sure has the heart of a Jedi."
You smiled, still watching her, "can she use the force?"
Ahsoka shook her head, "she keeps trying, she doesn't know how to control it yet, it just happens sometimes."
You nodded, "the life I have to live is not one for her," you said sadly, "she deserves a somewhat normal life."
"Considering who she is, I am not sure a normal life is possible for her," Ahsoka replied, "what are you going to do?"
You watched Omega, you felt a sense of pride watching her fight, but then you looked down sadly thinking of living on the run, "I don't know."
