You had made contact with Cid and she instructed you to meet her on Polis Masa, a small moon in the outer rim. You arrived several hours later landing the ship in one of the docking bays. You had to wait to get out until the plasma shield closed. Polis Masa does not have an atmosphere, so it is impossible to survive outside the walls.
Once the shield was closed, you opened the bay doors and exited the ship with the batch in tow. Omega wanted to surprise Cid, so she remained hidden on the ship.
"Well, I have to say I was surprised to get your transmission," Cid said as you approached her, "I figured you were all dead."
"Not yet," you said with a smile.
"What is this place?" Hunter asked.
Cid gestured around her, "for now, call it home," she answered, "it was an old base, long forgotten now, but it suits our needs and is defensible."
"What do you mean, our needs?" Echo asked suspiciously.
Cid chuckled, "still as skeptical as ever I see."
Suddenly the side door opened and Rex, Rafa and Trace walked out. "General, brothers, I am relieved to see you alive."
You clasped Rex's hand, "I told you we would meet again."
Rafa and Trace looked around, "where is Omega? We figured you would go back for her."
You hesitated, and Omega ran out of the ship, "they did!" she yelled excitedly, "I just wanted it to be a surprise!" Omega jumped into the arms of the sisters giggling.
"Rafa, why don't you take Omega and your sister to get something to eat," Cid said.
Rafa grabbed Omega's hand, but Omega looked back at you. You nodded and urged her to go with the sisters.
"Come on," Cid said, beginning to walk in the opposite direction, "there are things you have to see."
You fell into step with Hunter and Rex, the others behind you all trailing Cid. "This is quite the base for you guys," Hunter said, "how have you been able to maintain this whole facility."
Rex smiled, "things have changed since Concordia," he replied, "we're not alone."
One of the automatic doors slid open and you walked into a huge hangar area. There were hundreds of people tending to ships and droids, while others ran from place to place moving parts and still others were just wandering chatting with friends.
You leaned on the railing in awe, watching the operation, "there are so many people," you whispered.
"Given the dimensions of the room and the density of people, I estimate there are 400-500 people just in this hangar," Tech replied.
"Who are these people," Hunter asked, looking over them with you.
"Their noone and everyone," Cid replied, "but something brought them together to fight for something worth it."
"Rebels," you whispered.
Rex nodded, "you said there would need to be a unified front for a rebellion to work, this is a start."
"Is this all of the Rebels?" Wrecker asked loudly.
"No," Cid replied, "this is just a faction."
"There are factions all over the galaxy," Rex explained, "some have united, others still remain separate, but we have people here from surrounding systems."
"It's a start," you repeated, "once people realize they have to come together, they will. Fighting tyranny is worth the risk, more people will realize that as the Empire spreads."
Rex nodded, "come on General, I want you to meet some people."
