"What?" Hunter looked at you in disbelief, "we've been over this-"
"Omega is who the Inquisitor wants," you interrupted, "if she is gone, we have won."
"She is right," Obi-Wan interjected, he and Ahsoka were slightly limping to where you and Hunter now stood.
Ahsoka nodded, "we can't defeat these numbers, but with Omega safe, you will have won."
Rex, Tech and Echo all nodded their heads, "she has to get off this moon."
Omega walked up, she was now a little taller and couldn't cling to your leg like she used to, "I don't want to leave you."
Before you could reply to her, there was a loud crash, you looked towards the sound. The Inquisitor emerged from the wrecked mining equipment, several cuts on his face and the angriest expression you'd ever seen.
He quickly barked orders at Krennick, before looking at your small huddle and grinning as his eyes locked on Omega.
"Go!" Obi-Wan said, both him and Ahsoka ignited their sabers and moved in front of you, "we'll hold him off."
You nodded to them, "Echo, Rex, go inform the others to protect the passageways, we need time to get the ship running." You instructed, watching them run back into battle, "Tech, we need to get to the Marauder fast."
"Follow me, general," Tech said, taking off and typing on his datapad. You flashed one last look at Obi-Wan and Ahsoka before pushing Omega and Hunter in front of you and out of the mining tunnels.
Tech led you up through several passageways, taking sharp turns and paths even you knew nothing about. "The Marauder is in the hanger directly ahead, its internal, so no walkers should have been able to breach it," he explained pointing ahead.
You nodded and kept pushing Omega forward, through the door and into the hangar. You guided Omega towards the ship, but Hunter caught your arm and stopped you. "Come with us," he said, grasping your face in both his hands.
You placed your hands over his, looking down at your feet, "you know I can't," you whispered, "these people are here because of me, I cannot leave before the battle is done."
He forced your head up, "I don't care, I can't be without you." He trapped you in a loving and desperate kiss.
Tears stung your eyes as you pulled away, "Hunter-"
You were interrupted as the side door clanged open, and a red light filled the room. You looked on in fear as the Inquisitor limped into the hangar.
You immediately pushed Hunter towards the ship, "Go! Go now!" you shouted. Hunter paused, one hand on Omega's shoulder, standing on the ramp into the ship. "I will be behind you! Go!" you lied, urging him on.
Hunter looked at you, clearly unbelieving, but he led Omega into the ship and you watched them disappear into the cockpit.
"You cannot escape me, Jedi," the Inquisitor shouted, coming closer and closer. You reached for your saber on your belt, but he used the force to throw it away from you. You could hear the engines of the Marauder firing up, you knew you only had to distract the enemy long enough for the ship to get away.
You jumped grabbing for your saber in the dirt. You looked up, the Inquisitor close now, his frame bearing down on you. You saw movement out of the corner of your eye as Tech threw a device at the Inquisitor. You rolled out of the way as the flash grenade went off, knocking the Inquisitor back, but he still remained on his feet.
Tech threw another device, the Inquisitor backing up again, nearly losing his footing. Tech threw another flash grenade, but this time he was ready for it, the Inquisitor caught the device and used the force to push it towards you. You had no reaction time as the flash bang went off right next to you, knocking you off your feet and into the hard rocky ground.
You shook your head, trying to clear the dizziness and get the ringing to stop. You looked up and saw Tech charge the Inquisitor, his previous attempts at technology and blaster fire unsuccessful. You tried standing up, but you wobbled and had to use the wall for support, desperately trying to reach Tech before he did something stupid.
In a desperate attempt, Tech grabbed his datapad and slammed it across the face of the Inquisitor. The shattered shrapnel of the datapad, stinging the eyes of the enemy. Tech used the few seconds he had bought to turn and yell at the Marauder, "TAKE OFF!" Hunter wasted no time, firing up the engines and beginning to rise out of the hangar. "General, go!" Tech said, waving his hands towards the ship, "go!"
You shook your head again, Tech's words were muffled as the ringing was still present. You took a few wobbly steps towards Tech, but you were still a good distance away, the blast of the flash bang had knocked you farther away than you thought.
Tech had given the enemy too much time to recover. The inquisitor wiped his eyes in pain and anger as he saw Tech, his back turned looking at you. You tried to warn him, tried to reach Tech, but there was nothing you could do as you watched the Inquisitor drive his saber through Tech's unsuspecting body, you watched the face of Tech grow darker as the pained and shocked expression looked directly at you, before he crumpled to the ground.
