You slowly walked to the center of a forming battlefield, where the imperial forces seemed to be waiting for you. You heard each crunch of footsteps on the shifting rocky terrain, until you finally arrived.
The imperial in the officers uniform spoke first, "I am Sergeant Major Krennick of the Grand Inquisitor's fleet," he said in a raspy voice, "I assume by the garb that you are Former General of the Republic (Y/N), and clone force 99 also formerly of the Republic." His voice was slightly robotic, skewed by the helmet he was wearing in order to breathe.
You nodded, "I must say I was expecting to see the grand inquisitor himself, with the enormous amount of soldiers that you have brought."
Krennick chuckled underneath the helmet, "Indeed, former general, the grand inquisitor will arrive soon enough. Until then I will make my statements clear and simple," he took a deep breath, "hand over the child Omega, and we will load back up into these ships and never return."
You laughed, "you already know my answer Sergeant Major Krennick, or you would not have unloaded all of these soldiers already."
Krennick sighed, "I had hoped there would be no need for bloodshed, but I must admit I am looking forward to it."
He pointed at you and the front line of troopers began firing. You quickly ignited your blade and began deflecting shots, "retreat to the shield," you shouted to the batch as they began returning fire.
"Fire!" you heard Krennick shout, signaling for the walkers to take aim.
You turned and reached into the force, using it to push the batch towards the relative safety of the shield. They flew through the air coming to a hard landing a few feet from the shield of the main hangar.
"Come on!" Wrecker shouted as he began picking up the others and pushing them towards the hangar.
"No!" Hunter shouted, "we have to give the general some coverfire."
Wrecker laughed, "I've got just the thing." He tossed a grenade up and down in his hand before throwing it high up in the air and watching it land a few feet in front of you between the troopers.
You smiled as you realized the grenade had to have come from Wrecker. You flipped and put some distance between you and the grenade as it exploded, giving you enough time to reach the others just outside the hanger.
"You alright?" Hunter asked as you approached them.
"Yea," you nodded, following them through the shield. The first wave of people were waiting, tucked behind crates and other natural barriers.
"We should slow them down a little, give these people more time to process," Echo whispered.
"I saw let them come," Wrecker said, smashing his fists together excitedly, "why wait?"
You spoke into your wrist communicator, "Rex, close the blast doors on all the entrances except this main one," you said, "force them through this one entry."
"Copy that," Rex voice sounded, at the same time you heard the sirens go off letting you know the other entrances were being closed off.
"Those blast doors won't stop them for long," Tech explained, typing on his datapad again.
You nodded, "no it won't, but it will be easier for them to come here, an open door is hard to resist."
They all nodded and you turned to look outside the shield, moving that many troops and vehicles would take time, but they had already begun to advance on the base.
"What did the Sergeant Major mean by the Grand Inquisitor would come soon?" Hunter asked.
You looked on, "he meant something far more dangerous would be coming for us, it is almost impossible to know the skill of the inquisitors."
Hunter squeezed your hand, "we can defeat him."
You shook your head, "no we can't, but I might."
