Few days after, graduation naman ni Ate Trish. I'm not sure if she's even happy that she finally got the degree, bata pa lang sila pangarap na nila 'to nila Ate Gab. I heard their dreams and saw them fulfill it, it was liberating being surrounded by dreamers.
"Congrats, Ate." I hugged her. Paalis siya ngayon para magpamake-up. I think she'll go where they usually go for make-up.
"Thank you, baby." She smiled then hugged me again. "Ikaw mag-aral ka muna, ha? 'Wag ka masyado nagpapabola kay Kuya Calix."
I laughed. "Grabe ka. Porket sawi nandadamay? Baka hindi lawyer para sa 'yo?"
"Baka nga doctor pala, 'no?" Pagbibiro niya. Pareho kaming natawa.
Calix's lip angled when he saw me walking down our stairs. "Hi, gorgeous."
I rolled my eyes but smiled. "Hi, player."
I was on the last step of the staircase when he reached for my waist, I almost shouted. "Para kang ewan."
He smiled playfully and kissed me softly. "Can you cover your face?"
Tinulak ko siya pero pareho kaming tumatawa. He then reached for my hand and intertwined it with his. Everytime he does that, it always melt my heart.
"I don't know. He has lots of cases on his deck. Sinasadya niya ata."
"Para hindi makita si Ate? Graduation din naman ni Ate Gab." Malungkot na sabi ko.
"Ewan ko do'n. Last year pa halos ang mga kasong 'yon. Hindi pa siya pumapasa kinuha na niya."
"Eh, ikaw? Wala ka bang pending?"
He looked at me and smiled genuinely. "Marami. Pero gusto kong samahan ka."
"Baliw. Si Kuya Marco ang ga-graduate, ako idadahilan mo."
"Pake ko sa kanya?"
I rolled my eyes. "Ang sama mo. Kapatid mo kaya 'yon."
Alam kong hindi naman siya seryoso. He loves his siblings, iba nga lang sila magmahalan may kasamang asaran.
"May party si Kuya Marco?"
"Next week pa ata, ayaw niya. Balak lang no'n masolo si Yna."
"May idea kaya si Ate Yna kila Yca 'tsaka Riley? Hindi rin kasi ma-kwento si Yca."
He tapped my leg gently. "Don't worry too much. Matanda na sila, you can't dictate and decide for them."
"I just missed us being together. Ayaw ni Xandro na may maiiwan, ayoko rin naman."
"Maybe one day, they can talk. For now, let them heal."
