Chapter 30

We didn't stay long in that resto, naawa kasi ako sa security detail niya, apparently by 6 am nasa labas na siya lagi ng condo ni Calix o ng condo ko, tapos minsan late pang uuwi dahil sa tambak ang trabaho sa firm.

"What are you thinking?" He asked after he handed me a cup of brewed coffee.

"Nagpalit ba ng number si Kuya Marco? Hindi kasi siya nagrereply."

He creased his frontalis muscle. "Anong kailangan mo sa kanya?"

"It's about Ate Trish. I met someone in her condo," I answered. "Oh, shoot! Don't tell Kuya Miggy."

"Who did you meet?"

"Remember the guy we kept talking about before noong nasa law school pa kayo, 'yong Igi? 'Yong source nila Kuya Marco ng samplex."

"Villareal?"

"Yeah, nasa condo siya ni Ate Trish. Although, nandoon naman si Ate Celine."

Kumunot ang noo niya. "Baka dumadalaw?"

I shook my head and sipped on my coffee. "May extra bed sa kwarto ni Ate Trish."

"So, boyfriend siya ng kapatid mo? Miggy will go ballistic." He laughed.

"Sabi niya friends lang daw."

"Tingin mo?" Tanong niya sa akin.

"Sabi niya hindi naman daw, and I believed her. Mukha naman siyang mabait."

Tumahimik naman siya, susubukan ko pa lang tawagan si Kuya Marco nang may notification akong na-receive.

Pinakita ko agad may Calix, he looked at me with confusion.

"Ano 'yan?"

I groaned. "Accept ko nga. Baka may itatanong?"

"Bahala ka," sabi niya. "Pero Team Miggy tayo."

I rolled my eyes. "Tem Trishabella ako. Kahit sino basta masaya siya at safe."

Igi: Hi! I just want to say that your sister is safe with me. I don't mean anything bad to her. We're good friends just in case you're worrying. It was nice meeting you, btw. Take care.

Trinabella: Nice meeting you, too. If she said you're good, then I'd believe her. Just don't hurt her, then whatever your plans are, I'm good. Thanks for being her friend, I mean it.

Igi: Thank you.

I showed Calix the convo, he was intently reading the content, kung hindi ko pa aagawin ang phone baka pakasalan na niya.

"Bakit inaaral mo pa ang message niya?!" Inis na sabi ko.

"They are not just friends." He affirmed.

"Friends lang daw sabi ni Ate Trish," mabilis na sagot ko. "And if not, ano naman? Single naman ata sila pareho."

"Can you enter a relationship without being fully healed?"

Pinandilatan ko siya. "Naging tayo naman habang nagmo-move on."

He glared at me. "Excuse me! We became a couple when you moved on. I'm pretty sure you already love me months after your break up."

"Ang yabang! Galing mo mambola eh. Still can't wrap up my mind how easily you got me. Hindi mo man nga lang ako niligawan."

"Baby, you said clearly you have no time for that. And besides, araw-araw pa rin naman kitang sinusuyo, what's the difference?" He argued.
