I went out after blow-drying my hair, he was busy cooking, probably our dinner. Agad ko siyang niyakap mula sa likod, "This is enough assurance," I kept telling myself.

Agad naman siyang umikot at niyakap ako pabalik. "You hungry? Okay lang spam?"

"It's fine," I mumbled. "I love you."

He kissed the top of my head. "I love you, too, baby. Gusto mong fried rice?"

"Yeah," I responded quickly. "Gusto mong coffee? May gagawin ka ba mamaya?"

"Bakit may gusto ka bang gawin?" Sensual na bulong niya. "Pwede naman."

I glared at him. "Panay biro. Gusto mo nga?"

"Sure. Basta gawa mo."

I was watching him keenly, napa-paranoid ako, ganito ako dati kay Troy. Nasabi ko rin kay Riley 'to, he understands me well. Those years kept coming like a wound just deeply seated in me, I kept asking ano ba kinakatakutan ko? Ang maloko ulit? Or paglaruan na naman ako?

He smiled when he saw me, his eyes were pure. Ilang beses kong kinalma ang sarili ko, this isn't right, wala naman siyang ginagawa, pero pinagdududahan ko na siya.

"You okay, baby?" He asked me with so much care. I was suppressing my tears, lilipas din 'to.

"Yeah," like a lie I kept telling myself. "Matagal ka pa? Nagugutom na ako."

"Almost done," he answered, serenely.

We ate while he asked me with random things, mga ginawa ko sa Siargao at Seoul. He intently listened to me, kahit sa mga reklamo ko kay Xandro at kay Riley. Tinatawanan niya lang ako tuwing naaalala ko ang inis ko sa dalawa.

"Kasal pala nila Kuya next year," he informed me. "Sakto, after that year tayo naman, pasado kana no'n."

He's so sure of us, who am I to doubt what we have? This is just a phase I kept repeating in my thoughts, but it lingered for a few days.

"Hi, baby," he kissed my cheek when I sat on the shotgun seat. Every friday he'll pick me up at school, tapos uuwi kami sa Makati, every weekdays naman sa akin siya umuuwi.

"How's your day?" I asked, and he started driving.

"Usual cases," he replied with a soft alluring voice. "Kumain ka na? Hindi pa ako nag-dinner."

"Hindi pa," pagsisinungaling ko. Bakit ganito? Dati naman kahit tapos na ako nasasabi ko, pero lately umiiwas ako sa away, natatakot akong mapuno siya sa kaka-reklamo ko.

"Daan tayo sa kansi house?"

Tumango ako at pinagsaklop ang mga daliri namin, this is enough. Higit dalawang oras bago kami nakarating, the traffic was so bad. But, there were no silence nor gap moments, he kept talking or asking me.

"I missed this," I tasted the soup. "Pumupunta ka din dito 'pag wala ako?"

"Minsan. With Migs, or si Pat."

I ate slowly, I can't have indigestion, malalaman niyang nagsinungaling ako. It was roughly 11 pm when we reached his condo.

"Ligo na tayo," hawak niya sa kamay ko. Agad naman akong sumunod sa kanya. He stripped all my clothes as I do his. Malamlam ang bawat tingin niya sa akin.

"Still mad?"

"Hmm?" I hummed in between his warm kisses. My legs tangled around him while he made love to me in that position.
