Chapter 20

Mitch's P.O.V.

I see the back of her head. I walk up behind met and put my hands around her eyes

"Guess who?" I asks and she giggles.

"I don't know. Could it be the bajancanadian?" She says. She turns around and hugs me. "I'm really happy to see you".

"So why'd run all the way out here? It most be important" I ask.

"I don't really want to talk about it now. Can we talk tonight?" She asks and I nod. She leans over to pick up her bags

"Let me help you" I insist

"No Mitch you've helped me to much" she says attempting to pick up all the bags

"Really? I feel like I haven't helped enough" I say with a smirk and she giggles letting me help.

*le time skip to mitches house*

"I brought a hobo home!!" I yell

"Really? Again?" she says and we laugh.

Katrina's P.O.V.

I hear fast footsteps come down the stairs. I see Jerome and a blonde haired boy come down the stairs in swim trunks.

"Thank god, we've been waiting till you got home to go swimming" Jerome said.

"I believe I don't know everyone here" I say looking to the blonde haired boy. He had his hands in his pockets but immediately took one out to introduce himself.

"I'm Lachlan" he says as I shake his hand. He had an accent. Quiet cute.

"Katrina" I say shaking his hand. "British?" I asks

"Australian" he says

"Ah well boys, I don't think I'll be going swimming" I say. "Where will I be staying" I ask

"Didn't think that one through" Mitch says

"She can sleep in my room. I don't mind sleeping on the couch. And besides, I think my room is the only clean room" Lachlan says with a smirk.

"Well I don't mind the couch. I don't want to deprive you of your room" I say

"No I insist" he says

"Ok then. ¿Donde esta?" I say trying to sound Spanish and they all laugh.

"Up the stairs, third door on the left and the bathroom is the door right across" Lachlan says.

"Ok. After I put my stuff in there I may come out and tan" I say and walk up the stairs and to the room. I set my bags down and lay down on the neatly made bed. I hear a knock on the door.

"Are you decent?" I hear Lachlan say and I laugh.

"Ya come on in" I say with a smile. I see him come in. He closes the door behind him. "I'm not gonna get raped am I?" I ask sarcastically.

"Maybe" he says with a smile and we laugh "no no I just wanted to talk" he says. "Im technically not supposed to tell you but Jerome and Mitch told me about your problem with self harm" he says.

"Oh." I say " I hope you don't think less of me" I say

"No. I could never" he says

"So if I told you that not even a week ago I tried to commit suicide would you still not think less of me?" I say

"No not at all" he says and we smile. I wrap my arms around him. He was hesitant but I eventually feel his arms around me. I hear the door open.

"Woah" Mitch says "I'm not intruding am I" he says and i decide to have a little fun.

"YOU ASSHOLE!! YOU FUCKING TOLD HIM! I JUST WANTED TO HAVE ONE FRIEND THAT DIDNT KNOW!" I scream.

"Woah Katrina I'm sorry are you serious?" He says and I smile

"No" I say and he lets a deep breath out. I start laughing so hard.

"Is everything ok I heard screaming??" Jerome asks worried.

"I scared Mitch shitless" I say still laughing. " Ok now get out. Everyone. I gotta get dressed" I say pushing them out.

Once they were all out I slipped on a light teal bikini. I looked in the mirror. The tops of my thighs, stomach and wrists covered in countless white lines. At first I was hesitant to even go out but they all know so what the hell.

I grab a towel and wrap it around me. I walk out and see the boys soaked and swimming. I smile and stand there.

"Come on Katrina!" I hear Mitch yell. I smile and shake my head no.

"Oh come one why not?" Jerome asks.

"Let's just say I look like a kindergartner scribbled over me with a white crayon" I say and Lachlan jumps out of the pool and walks over to me.

"Oh come on" he says grabbing my hand holding my towel up.

"Lachlan no" I say.

"Oh come on. We don't judge. I don't judge" he whispers to me slowly pulling my hand away. When my hand is away the towel falls and my body is exposed. Lachlan looks me up and down and I look down blushing.

I feel his lips on my cheek causing me to look up.

"You're beautiful" he says and walks away to dive in the pool.

I smile blushing slightly and run and dive into the pool.

*le skippy pool time*

We walk inside giggling and soaking wet.

"Thanks guys" I say

"For what?" Mitch asks.

"First of all for letting me stay here. And second of all excepting me. Excepting all of me" I say.

"Group hug!" Jerome says and they all come over and hug me.

"Guys this very touching and all but I think my bikini strap just came undone." I say graving the strings so my top would fall. They all pull apart.

I laugh and walk up stairs with them. We all get dressed in pajamas and walk downstairs to watch a movie.

After the movie we all head to bed. Lachlan stays down to his make shift bed and we all walk to our rooms. I fall asleep smiling. That was the first time I felt comfortable going swimming in 5 years. And I am so grateful for that.
