Chapter 23

Katrina's P.O.V.

"Can you tell us why you were arrested today?" Mitch asks as we sit on the couch.

"I'd like my lawyer to be present before I confess anything" I say in a posh tone and we laugh.

"Oh you mean Dan" Mitch mocked and we laughed more.

"I just got caught doing a line" I said

"Cocaine?!?" Mitch asks

"Ya it's not a big deal"

"You were doing drugs of course it's a big deal"

"I didn't think I'd get caught they told me th-" I stop. "Shit I got to talk to Dan" I say running to the office. I go to the clerk. "Is Dan Howell in?" I ask

"Yes but he's in a meeting" she says.

"Where's the meeting" I demand and she points to a room across the hall. I run in and see men in suits look to me. I see Dan in the back and I walk over to him and bend over to be level with his ear. "We need to talk" I whisper in his ear.

"Not now" he says. I stand up and clear my throat.

"Excuse me but I need to take mr. howell from you to discuss my case. You see he's my lawyer" I say they all look at me weirdly. Maybe it was the fact that I was in tight skinny jeans that showed my ass and a tight white crop top that showed my tattoo and belly button piercing.

"Howell keep your delinquents under control" a man whispered to Dan.

"Excuse you! I am not a delinquent!" I say.

"Then why do you need a lawyer?" He asks.

" Mis understanding. Now wether you like it or not I'm going to have to barrow Mr. Howell. So if this is nothing important we're gonna go" I say grabbing Dan and pulling him out of the room.

"Katrina! What the hell! You have to give me some warning" he says.

"When they busted me yesterday did any of the other guys get put into custody?!?" I ask quickly. "Never mind. We can't talk here. Can we go to yours???"

"Uh Ya I guess" he says

"Ok come on" I say and we walk out

We walk to his place in silence. His friend was loaning him a place since he was on holiday.

"Can you buy me a new pack of cigarettes?" He asks

"So you took my advice? Good for you. Did it help?" I ask as he unlocks the door.

"Yeah"

"I got a pack we can smoke later. But your gonna have to learn to buy your own" I say mocking him. We walk inside and I sit on the couch.
He sits next to me and I immediately start making out with him

"What are you doing?" He asks kissing back.

"Let's do it. Remember back in London? Let's do that again" I says seductively. I wasn't into him just bribing him.

"No" he says pushing me away

"What?!" I say "come on Dan, you know you want me" I say crawling toward him.

"I know what your doing. Your bribing me. But why?" He asks. I sit up.

"Man slaughter. I killed her. I need a lawyer I can bribe." I say. I didn't want to have sex with him. I just needed i bribe him.

"Do you have an alibi?" He asks.

"Yes. But it's not one I can tell" I say

"Katrina, do you want to go to prison?"
