Have you ever been to the point where you've been physically, mentally, and emotionally drained, and yet you can't sleep? That's how I felt right now, just tried but my mind was putting in extra hours trying to process everything I learned from Kendu, my body was sore as fuck from the altercation, and the realization of what had happened during that altercation was cause paranoia. I was going to jail, I was definitely going to jail for killing that man.... every car that drove by, I was convinced that it was the SWAT Team coming to kick my door in... No, Legend had taken the blame.... Why would his stupid ass do that? Speaking of Legend, where the fuck was he? I hadn't heard from him since he went off to handle that thing with Icon.... What if something went wrong? What if Icon turned on him, again? What if this was all a setup and Legend was.... I shook the horrible thought from my head and tried calling Legend again, only to get sent to voicemail again. It was damn near ten in the morning and it was pretty clear I wasn't going to sleep anytime soon so I got up and started cleaning but the house was already cleaned so I was basically just moving stuff around until finally, I decided to get some fresh air. I couldn't explain how it happened but somehow I ended up at my parents' grave, two headstones, with names and dates forever written in stone.... I needed them now more than ever and the longer I stood there the more pissed I became at the information I learned last night....

"Cody?" Renee said scaring the fuck out of me. "I didn't expect to see you here... I guess after everything you learned last night, you needed to come to a place where no one would judge you." Renee said, I shouldn't be surprised that she knew because Renee was tapped into almost everything that was going on in this city.

"Did you know?" I asked, and Renee shook her head, even though I wasn't clear on what I was referring to...

"If you're referring to your parents, the answer is no... I didn't know Cullen was behind what happened to them... I thought it was an accident like everyone else. But if you're talking about Kendu.... I did know about his family, the only reason I didn't feel the need to say anything is because in all our discussions, he made it perfectly clear that his beef was Epic, and Epic alone. He always wanted to make sure you, Chae, and Osian weren't caught in the crossfire." Renee said, and I wasn't sure if I should feel relieved or angry.

"Why don't you call this off? Don't you think there's been enough death?" I asked looking into her eyes, and I noticed her looking at the graves of my parents.

"When Epic suffers... then I'll call it quits, but I don't feel he's suffered or, more importantly... he hasn't learned. Epic has been extremely reckless... he hasn't learned, and if he doesn't learn soon, I'm afraid there will be another situation like my brother...." Renee said.

"What is it that you want Epic to learn?" I asked curiously.

"That sometimes the people closest to him are the ones he needs to watch.... He's an idiot... just like Reggie... they're are both hardheaded and sometimes the best remedy for a hard head is an asswhoopin.... Vincini is a bigger threat than me... and I believe some of Epic's men are working for him..." Renee said. "And I think it was Vincini who ordered the hit on your parents...." Renee said.

"Well, Vincini is now on my list... right now my ire is turned towards Cullen, who is solely responsible for my parents' death..... Which is why I'm glad you're here. I was planning on coming to you a little later but now that you're here.... I need you're help with getting to Cullen." I said and Renee looked at me for almost a minute before speaking.

"It's going to be difficult... we'll have to make it look like an accident, but I think we can make it work.... but we're going to need help from Murda....." Renee said. "And therein lies our biggest issue because Murda is going to do anything without Legend's blessing and I get the feeling that Legend isn't aware of this plan...." Renee said.
