The Soiree...
It was a bustling day at the Techaapaikun's mansion. It was just a week ago when it was reported that young master New gave up Noctis to young master Tay.
Everyone was shocked at the news, usually, it is always announced when somebody gives up their coming-of-age ceremonial ring, as for New's case he gave up his ring Noctis to Tay without prior notice to the clan.
Even his grandfather is having a headache at how New does things his way, New knows what Noctis means but does Tay know?
Even New's father made a complaint to his grandfather but all New did was fall on deaf ears.
New's grandfather knew that he is not reckless as anyone thought he wouldn't have given Noctis to Tay if he doesn't have a solid plan.
As much as he wants to honor his grandson's decision he must announce it on their upcoming soiree to stop unnecessary rumors that being said they've been trying to contact New but he doesn't even answer. He knew this kid doesn't like soiree so he talked to Tay.
They've rounded up all the necessary people for it and Tay's side as well. Kept it to minimal people and simple decorations.
But there is no simple by all means to the Techaapaikun household. Their hall which was decorated with black and gold draperies and red carpets filled the whole room. White roses accentuated every table the room itself can accommodate up to a thousand guests but tonight they only limited it to a hundred important people.
Well to them the soiree is like a business party anyway.
TAY POV
It was the day before the soiree and my friend Off decided to visit me at my office.
"Peng!"- Off
"What do you want? I can give you everything except New" - Tay
I was still annoyed at what New and Off had back then.
"Oh, I'm guessing he told you, but don't worry it's all in the past peng!"- Off
"So what do you want?"- Tay
"New" -Off
" I told you ..... "- Tay
"Hey hey easy let me finish, New did he tell you about the Noctis?"- Off
"What? who is Noctis is that another feed of him if so nevermind!!!"-Tay
"I'm guessing he didn't, whooo we need to talk thoroughly" - Off
"What do you mean?"- Tay
I feel like I'm going to pass out by the next words I'm going to hear.
" Tay, are you confident enough, to be New's."-Off
"I am, I've already promised but I didn't know it was that important. New just kept on saying that I just threw it"- Tay
"Tay, it means you have the same equal power as New, It could be both dangerous to you at some point."- Off
"I know ever since I was in New's life I know that it would be like this."- Tay
"I just want you to know, that this is not the last there will be more in store for you. I hope you survive Peng!"- Off
He was chuckling while patting me on my back.
"New is quite a handful, with a powerful background he tends to be more reclusive and cold towards people, I'm glad he met you" - Off
"Are you really or just mocking me, you haven't even told me you're a vampire as well, Peng"-Tay
"So you knew, so you knew tsktsk"- Off
"What the hell! You never plan on telling me in the first place?!"-Tay
