Seokjin ~ paradise

The sound of birds chirping woke me from my sleep. The gentle breeze of the wind was blowing the curtains as little rays of sun peeked through. I stretched my arms out as I turned over to find the other side of the bed empty. I sat up and looked around and outside and couldn't find any sighting of my boyfriend, Jin.

"Ah sleeping beauty is awake"

"Where were you?"

"Making breakfast thought we could sit on the balcony and eat it"

"That's sounds nice"

"Come on then. I didn't make your favourite coffee for no reason"

I got out of the bed and slipped my silk robe over my nightwear and joined Jin on the balcony. The view of the Eiffel Tower coming into place made our apartment much better. We had been living in Paris for three years after we got married back in Seoul. We came here on our honeymoon and fell in love with everything about Paris. Our families supported us about the move and they even stayed with us for the first two weeks of moving in.

"This is beautiful Jin. I could've helped if you woke me up"

"No. You looked so peaceful when sleeping o wanted you to catch up on the sleep you've been missing due to work"

"Thank you"

We both opened a flower shop and a cafe out here. I run the flower shop whilst Jin runs the cafe. We try to open and close at the same time so we can have as much time together outside of work. It's work perfectly. I get a nice coffee and then Jin gets pretty (fake) flowers for his tables.

The flower shop had been pretty hectic due to Valentine's Day coming up, everyone wanting to get the best flowers for their partners. Since it was just me in the shop I had to make an order list so everything could run smoothly.

"So I've decided since I've got enough staff to cover the cafe; I thought I'd take you on a weekend away"

"Are you sure"

"Yes. A nice valentines weekend away"

"Do I get to know where we're going?"

"No. But you do have to pack beach clothes"

"Ok. You know you can just close the cafe for the weekend since its Valentines. You don't want to make people work on the most romantic day of the year so you?"

"I guess I can do that"

We had landed at our destination. I still didn't know where we were as the pilot gave o information for us on our private plane. I felt Jin's arm upon my shoulder.

"Welcome to Saint-Tropez"

"For real!"

"You like?"

"I love it. This was on my list of places to go in France"

"Now you can cross it off. Let's load our stuff into the car and get to the hotel"

I sat in the passenger seat as Jin got in the drivers side and started surfing towards our location. The gentle breeze brushed through our hairs as the trees came into view. We could see the little town as we drove by watching all the people do their thing. We soon arrived at the hotel and checked in.

"Wow. This room is amazing and look at the view of the ocean"

"Only for the best"

"I don't deserve all of this"

"Yes you do. You deserve every ounce of love that you receive because you are caring, kind, loving and are willing to help those who need it"

"I could say the same about you too, Jin. You truly are amazing and you know how to treat me right"

"Why don't start this weekend away with a bang and get to making our family"

The sound of waves crashing against the walls made my relax into the sand. We had decided to take a trip to the beach as our first spot on our mini vacation. Jin was currently in the ocean whilst I sunbathed. My eyes were closed as I continued listening to the waves and the small chatter between locals. Soon I felt little droplets on my chest as I opened my eyes and saw Jin standing above me.

"How's the water?"

"Lonely. You're not in there with me"

"I'm coming now"

We swam around the bay for a while and now the sun was setting. My back was pressed against his back as we watched the sky changing colours.

"Let's head back to our room and get some dinner"

"I'd love that"

After dinner we retreated back to our room and sat on our balcony with our glasses of wine.

"I never want to leave this place or even this country"

"It's a good thing we don't have to"

"Good. Maybe we'll go back to Korea when we have a family and we can show them where we both grew up and the food"

"Planning the future already?"

"I'm just wanting to be prepared for when the time comes"

"It will be all be fine"

"I love you"

"I love you most"

Paradise to some people can be somewhere tropical with exotic fruits and coconuts. But France is my paradise.
