Jungkook - make it right

It's like she forgot I existed. Y/N has been at her new job for about a month now. She loved it and I loved that she was happy, but whenever I had something planned for us she either forgot or already had plans. We have been dating for 2 years and I've never felt like this.

Mornings always started with a hug and a kiss, the breakfast together before going for a walk and then we'd both to go work. Sometimes I'd be late home due to practice. I'm missing her touch. Her kisses. The way she would smile at me the minute she opened her eyes.

"Jungkook, you ok. You've been zoning out during the day"

"I don't know Hyung"

"What's wrong?"

"It's Y/N, Hobi. She's hardly paid any attention to me since she started her new job. I feel lost. I can't concentrate on work"

"That doesn't sound like Y/N at all. Does she seem any different"

"A little. She doesn't hold a conversation anymore. It's just a quick hello and then I notice if she'll be back late or not. We don't talk about how our days go anymore. We don't cuddle in the mornings like we used to. I feel invisible to her. I'm missing her even though she's there"

"Kookie, I hate seeing you like this. Listen, why don't you take yourself away on a little trip. Help clear your mind. Maybe if she notices that you're not home for a couple of days she might wonder where you are"

"I've always wanted to go camping where there is an ocean nearby"

"Do that then"

"Thanks Hyung"

We packed up and went home. I packed some stuff and informed the staff that I was going camping a couple days before our comeback. I left the note on Y/N's bedside table, knowing she'd come straight to the bedroom whenever she got home. I loaded my car up and set off towards my camping site.

It was so peaceful here. The sun had set as it began to rain a little. I sat outside the camping van enjoying the rain. Suddenly my phone started to ring. Y/N's name and picture flashed across the screen.

"Hello"

"Koo, are you ok. I found your note"

"Oh you actually read it"

"Yeah. It was right there"

"I just wanted to get away for abit before promo starts for a bit"

"Is that it? Nothing else is bothering you. I've got the week off when your comeback starts so I can be with you and support you"

"You don't need to take the week off. Go work and hang out with your friends since that's all you care about lately"

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"I don't want to get into it. Just don't contact me for the mean while. I need to breathe"

I hung up on her and put my phone on silent. She's probably on her way to find out where I am to talk to me.

Y/N's p.o.v

"Will one of you please just tell me where Jungkook went please. I need to talk to him"

"Maybe he doesn't want to see you after what you've put him through the last month" - Tae

"Can someone tell me what's going on please?"

"You. You've been distant with Jungkook. He missed you even though you're right there. All you do is work and hang out and hardly come home to him"

"There's a reason behind it Namjoon"

"Oh what's the reason" - Jimin

"I've been keeping myself at work until the early hours of the morning so I can earn enough money to take Jungkook on holiday after promo for the comeback and when you guys take your break from group activities. He's done so much for me I just wanted to pay him back. I didn't know I was hurting him. So please, tell me where he is so I can surprise him with the present I've been working on"

"Y/N, you shouldn't be working yourself this hard just to pay him back. You know he'd be happy with a present from you" - Hobi

"I know, but I just felt like being on a plane and going some here nice to really relaxing would do him good. I'm sure your partners would do the same"

"She's right. Fine. We'll text your the address" - Jin

"Thank you! Right I'll head off and go make things right with him"

"Be careful it's raining out there" - Yoongi

"Will do"

I arrived at where Jungkook was. I had notified the staff and they told me which can Jungkook would be in so i parked my car next to the van and got out. Knocking the door, I felt nervous of what his reaction would be.

"Oh finally, was there muc- oh it's you"

"Jungkook, I think I need to do some explaining to you. Can I come in?"

"I suppose"

I stepped inside and took my shoes off and placed my coat on the hanger before sitting opposite him at the small table inside.

"I was informed that I have been distant with you for the past month. The reason is, I've been working until early morning so I could earn enough money to give you a present for this comeback"

"A present?"

"You've done so much for me since we first met that I just wanted to return the favour. Only I didn't know I was hurting you. I'm meant to be loving you instead I'm hurting you. I'm sorry. I just wanted the present to be perfect"

"Baby, yes it did hurt that I didn't get to wake up with by my side or have breakfast or dinner with you. But you should know that you don't have to work such ridiculous hours to give me a perfect present. Anything is fine as long as you are you there. You are my perfect gift"

"I feel bad. I'm sorry"

"Thank you for the apology but please don't go overworking yourself just to make me happy"

"Ok, can we have a hug. I've been missing them too"

"Of course"

I stood up and sat on his lap giving him a hug. It felt nice to hug him again. He pulled me closer as I smiled. We pulled apart as he grabbed my cheeks.

"Promise me you won't overwork yourself, unless it's absolutely necessary"

"I promise"

We joined pinky fingers and leaned in for a kiss. His lips I missed for a month, still tasted like strawberries.

"So, what's my present?"

"A holiday to Thailand"

"Perfect because you will be there"

I smiled before he picked me up and took me the bed where we cuddled the whole night. Most important lesson; don't push your loved ones away. Try and make time for them.
