Seokjin - Welcome Home

It was the night before Seokjin was due home. I was throwing a big welcome party but unfortunately no other members would be present due to their own military service, so the party just included both our families and some of Seokjin's friends. I had been up all night making the cake and food for the party. My mum offered to help but I declined. I wanted to do this myself and I just wanted everyone else to have a good time. It was currently 11am, Seokjin was due home at 3pm and everyone was arriving at the house at 2pm. 

"Y/N!"

"Kitchen"

Soon after my mum appeared in the door way of the kitchen holding boxes of food. I helped by taking of the boxes out of her hand and placing them on the table.

"Eomma I told you not to do anything"

"I know but I couldn't help but make some cakes and other food"

"That's very sweet of you eomma"

I unfolded all the packaging and got the boxes out. She had done a lot. There was even more sandwiches, cakes, pasta and rice. There was certainly going to be lots of leftovers. 

"You got and get yourself showered and ready for the party and I will finish everything down here"

"Are you sure?"

"Certain, go go"

"Thank you eomma. I promise to not be long"

"Take your time"

I ran upstairs and got in the shower washing the stress away. My outfit was laid out on the bed ready to be worn. I had been saving the outfit for when this day came around. After my shower I did my skincare routine before doing my makeup and hair. As I was curling my hair my phone rang, I picked it up without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello"

"Hey, it's Jungkook"

"Hey Kook, what's up?"

"We're outside and we forgot the number to get in"

"You're outside? I thought you weren't able to come?"

"Surprise"

"The number is 0815"

"Ah yes your anniversary. Thank you!"

"Mum is in the kitchen if you have anything"

"OK"

We hung up and I went back to curling my hair. I heard the boys enter the house in loud cheers. I could hear them greet my mother before my bedroom opened and Jungkook appeared. 

"Hey sis!"

"Kookie!, why didn't you tell me the minute you got the vacation accepted"

"We wanted it to be a surprise for both you and Jin"

"I love it. Jin will love it aswell I can already tell"

"I think he'll love your surprise more. Everything looks amazing downstairs"

"Thank you. I just want him to have the best welcome home after being gone for so long"

"He'll love it trust me"

"Do you think he will be any different once he gets out?"

"What makes you think that?"

"My friends have said when their husbands came back they were a totally different human being"

"Seokjin will never do that. He loves you too much to be a different person. Don't ever speak like that. I know deep down that he can't wait to come home and cuddle you all night long"

"Thanks Koo. Glad to have you as my brother"

"Let's get you dressed and downstairs to see the others before the house gets too full"

The house was filled with people as the minutes slowly ticked down. I made sure everyone had a drink but no one touched the food as I wanted to wait until Seokjin walked through the door. 

"HE'S OUTSIDE!"

"Umm, quick everyone hide and Jimin turn the lights off"

Jimin turned the lights off and we all hid. I placed myself  behind the wall of the staircase next to the door. I heard the jingle of keys before the noise of the door opening was heard. 

"Why is to dark in here. I thought Y/N was home"

Seokjin's p.o.v

"Why is to dark in here. I thought Y/N was home. Her car is out front"

The room soon illuminated and people jumped out.

"WELCOME HOME!"

My eyes wandered the room looking at everyone who just welcomed me home. I turned my head to the right and saw my wife with the biggest smile on her face. I dropped my bags on the floor and walked over to her before picking her up and spinning her around.

"I've missed you so much!"

"I've missed you more. Now go greet the others. They're all staring"

I gave Y/N a kiss before parting ways to greet everyone else that came to the party. I looked around the room again and took in the amazing job that Y/N had done. She really went all out for me.

It was nearing late into the night as people started to head home due to having work in the morning along with the boys as they had to be back at their service early in the morning. This is the best way to have come home. Soon enough the house was empty and only Y/N and I were left. 

"Are you ready for bed my wife?"

"I've just got to clean up and then I'll be up"

"We can do the cleaning up tomorrow. Consider it a cleaning date for our first full day reunited"

"You and your brain produce such great ideas"

"That's why you married me"

"Fine, let's clean the house tomorrow and then we can do something else during the day"

"Let's head to bed and cuddle. I really have missed your cuddles"

The next day had come around and I was already downstairs making breakfast. I had done the dishes for Y/N. She had done so much for me whilst I was away so it's only fair I can return the favour. As I was cooking I heard the little patter of footsteps entering the kitchen. 

"I thought we were doing this together"

"I know sweetie but you did so much for when I was away. I thought it was only right to treat my wife to a breakfast made by her husband"

"Hmm ok, anything you want me to do?"

"Sit and relax"

She gave me a kiss before sitting on one of the chairs at the island. I placed a coffee in a mug and gave it to Y/N and went back to cooking. I plated everything up and placed it on the table.

"Wow, you really went all out for breakfast"

"Our first breakfast after a while I had to"

"I love you and I am so glad your service is over with. I really missed waking up next you"

"I'm never leaving again, unless it's a tour"

"That I can live with at least you'll be able to call me at any time"

We spent the morning cleaning, watching movies and eating snacks. It real felt nice to be back in my wife's arms. It was a welcome home indeeed.
