Hoseok - first love

It was the first day of high school and as any teenager I was nervous as hell. It meant making new friends, new lessons to be learnt; new everything. Maybe even a new relationship.

I walked through the school gates and headed towards my locker and placed my books in there before making my way to the assembly hall where the introduction was going to be held. There were quite a lot of students here already for 7:45am. I searched for an open seat and found one near the back next to some guy who had jet black hair and had his nose in a book.

"Um, excuse me?"

The boy looked up and it's like the world stopped. His eyes sparkled like their stars in them. He happily smiled at me.

"Hello"

"Is this seat taken?"

"No. You can sit there. Hi, i'm Jung Hoseok"

"Hi Hoseok, I'm Lee Y/N"

"What a pretty name"

"Thank you. What are you reading?"

"How to kill a mocking bird"

"I love that book"

"Do you want to be friends?"

"Sure"

1 year later

I raced around my home packing my bag as I only had 10 minutes to get to school. My stupid alarm didn't go off and no one woke me up. I heard a car beep from outside and ran out the door to see Hoseok there in his car beckoning me to get in.

"You're late aswell?"

"Yeah, good thing we don't have to walk"

"True. How was your weekend?"

"It was fine. You should've joined me at the arcades and movies"

"I know but you know how strict my maths teacher is; I had to get the homework done"

"I hate your maths teacher"

"Join the club. I just can't wait for summer holidays to start. Last week before we enjoy 3 months away without any homework or school projects to do"

"So many beach trips ahead of us. We can relax in the sun"

"I could just picture it right now. An ice cream and a nice ice cold drink to help with the heat"

"Splashing around in the cool water"

"Do you think there will be any parties this summer?"

"Probably but I'm not interested in those. Just interested in whatever you do Y/N"

"I know the summer festival is back this year. Also my dad is hosting is regular summer BBQ party and your family is invited"

"I'll tell them"

1 month later

Since summer started I noticed something changed in the way I looked at him. I looked at his as more than a friend. Is this what having a crush feels like? Is this what being in love felt like? Because if so, I don't want it to stop he's so caring with everyone. Currently, he's helping his grandma sit down in one of the chairs in the back yard whilst grabbing her plate ready to fill with the delicious food my dad had cooked.

"Y/N, you're staring at him again?"

"Am not"

"I know you're scared. That was happens with your first love. You're scared to ruin the friendship and break apart. But don't be, you have to take some risks in life even if that means the end of a friendship"

"You're right. Thanks mom"

"No worries, sweetie. Let me know if you need anymore advice"

"Will do"

She walked away as I joined Hoseok with his family as the night went by with like a breeze.

2 months later

The last day of summer was approaching and it's been amazing. I confessed to Hoseok and he confessed back. We decided to go on a couple of dates before we made anything official. Our first date was the arcades which were a blast, the second date was at the summer festival and now our third date was just around the corner.

"How did I look mom?"

"Beautiful! Now hurry alone Hoseok is waiting downstairs for you"

"Already"

I grabbed my bag and made my way downstairs. We left the house and drove towards the beach cafe. We both liked it here during the summer and it was perfect. Not too lavish for either of us, just perfect.

During the dinner I could that Hoseok was nervous. His leg kept shaking and he wouldn't stop playing with the straw in his drink.

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine"

"Are you sure because you're leg has been shaking since we sat down"

"I'm nervous. I need to ask you a question and I'm scared I'm going to mess it up"

"Just ask away. It can't be that hard"

"I don't want to be friends anymore. I would like for us to be boyfriend and girlfriend. So, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes. Of course I will"

Hoseok's p.o.v

"And then after that we graduated school, went onto college together. Graduated from there. Got engaged a year later. Said 'I do' 7 months later and now 4 years later we have you and your beautiful little sister here"

"Tell it again daddy!"

"Maybe some other time. Let's put your sister to bed before mommy gets home shall we?"

"Ok and then after we make mommy a nice dinner"

"Sure buddy"

After we put Sooyung to bed we walked downstairs into the kitchen to make Y/N some food. A couple minutes later the front door opened and Y/N walked into the kitchen.

"Hello"

"Mommy! Guess what?"

"What bud?"

"Daddy told the story about how you first met again"

"Did he now"

"It's my favourite I make him tell me"

"That's nice bud. Are you making food?"

"Yes. I'm helping daddy"

"Lovely. Hello Hoseok"

"Hey baby. You go relax and we'll bring food out in a bit"

"Ok. I'm gonna go check on Sooyung"

I watched as she walked upstairs and came back down now dressed in leggings and a baggy shirt. We ate dinner together before taking Heesung to bed.

"Thank you for dinner"

"Anything for my first love"

We kissed each other before getting into bed and watching a movie. They say first loves never first last. I beg to differ.
