Hoseok - broken pt2

Note - this is going to be part 2 of the broken chapter from Namjoon's one last year, but this will be in the point of view of Hoseok and a little bit of Y/N. 

3 MONTHS AFTER THE BREAK-UP

It's been three months since Y/N and Namjoon broke up. It was approaching the Christmas season which made Y/N even more down as it would've been their 4 year anniversary. 

"Y/N, it's Hobi. Can I come in?"

"Yeah"

I opened the door and saw Y/N sat at her desk doing some work. I placed the coffee down next to her.

"I was thinking about setting up the Christmas Tree later if you would like to help"

"If I have finished my work I will help"

"How are you today?"

"You know you don't have to ask me that everyday, but I am fine. I'm not going to breakdown. It's just clear enough that the relationship meant nothing to him"

"Just another question and I will let you carry on working. Will you be alright with still hanging out with us. I just know the maknae line have grown fond of you"

"Yes I will be fine. The maknae line are like my little brothers"

"I will tell them you'll still be around. You get back to work"

I placed a kiss upon her head before walking out. She says she's fine but I still see the hurt and pain within her eyes. She's still hurting. I don't know what else to try to make her happy again.

I had the place decorated it was just the tree that needed to put up and decorated. I placed the tree box in the lounge and headed back up to Y/N's room. I lightly knocked on the door before opening it to find her asleep at the desk. I quietly walked over and moved her to the bed so she would at least be comfortable. I saved her work before logging off her laptop. Maybe I will surprise her with the tree all decorated, hopefully that will cheer her up a little bit. 

"Thank you for coming over at the last minute"

"It's no problem Hyung, anything to cheer Y/N up"

"Right Jimin you set the tree up with Taehyung, Yoongi and Jin can unwrap the lights and Jungkook and I will get the tree decorations out"

Everyone got on with their tasks and soon the room was filled with boxes and lights. Yoongi was getting frustrated with the lights because they were not untangling so easily. There were little pine threads around the room from the tree being put up. I really do hope this brings some joy into Y/N's life. She may be a little upset because we didn't do the tree together, but with all the work she has been doing she needs the rest.

Y/N's p.o.v

My eyes fluttered open as I looked around my room and saw that I was in my bed. Hobi must've put in my bed when he checked on me. I looked at my phone and saw that it is 5pm. I've been asleep for 3 hours. I definitely needed it though after all that work. I got out of my bed and placed my slippers on my feet as I headed downstairs to only be met with glowing lights of the Christmas Tree in the corner of the lounge. Did Hobi hyung do all of this?"

"Y/N, you're awake!"

"Jin what brings you here"

"This is Hobi's surprise. He called us all over and we helped decorate the tree for you"

"Who is all of you?"

"Don't worry, he's not here. Everyone but him"

Just then everyone else walked out from the kitchen with drinks and food in their hands. I waited until they put everything down before running up to them and gave them a big group hug.

"Thank you all very much. The tree looks beautiful"

"It was all Hobi hyung" - THV

"Thank you so much brother. This has given me the happiness I've been needing to have. And thank you all for coming over to help him"

"It was our pleasure. We ordered some food and drinks. Tonight is a night where we celebrate life and Christmas" - JM

We all sat on the floor in the lounge and started digging into the food. This felt nice. This is all I've needed the last few months. Yeah I've hung out with them but Namjoon was always their due to it being around their practice and recording times. It was awkward and you could cut the tension with a knife. We hadn't spoken since we broke up and I don't think we will ever again. The main thing is that nothing becomes awkward between the group. I told Hoseok that he would have to try and forget what Namjoon did because they are a team and they've come so far it would technically be my fault if they were to fall apart because of our broken relationship. 

"Umm, Y/N?"

"Yeah Koo"

"We found this when we were hanging the decorations up and we didn't know what to do with it"

He passed me a tree ornament with a picture of Namjoon and I in from our Christmas together. I stared at it before placing it in the rubbish bag next to Jimin.

"That relationship is in the past. I got hurt. It was broken. I am ready to move on. Tomorrow will be my first day of moving on. I cannot dwell on something that was broken so long ago. So thank you again for helping me get better and be happy again"

They all crowded round me for another hug before we finished the food and put on a movie. This is my family and yes whilst it feels weird to not have Namjoon here, maybe one day we will overcome the tension and awkwardness and be able to hang out as a full group. But for now this will do. It also goes to show that when you are broken you will have a support system standing next to you at all times.

"Do you think we'll ever be able to hanging out all of us?"

"One day Jungkook, one day"
