"Momma, papa! Look what I drew today at school"

Our 5 year daughter came bouncing into the living area holding her drawing. Tae placed her on the couch in between us.

"What is it darling?"

"I drew the three of us. See, this is daddy with his fluffy hair, this is mummy with her brown hair and me holding your hands. Isn't it lovely"

"It's beautiful. Shall we frame it?"

"Yes!"

I got off the couch and went to find a frame from my office. As I walked back into the room I heard Tae's voice.

"You made mummy look very pretty Y/D/N"

"Because she is. It's where I get my looks from"

"Hey, what about your father. If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have this beautiful hair or those eyes"

"You're pretty too daddy"

"That's my girl"

I walked back into the room holding the frame with a smile on my face.

"Let's frame this picture then. Where would you like it placed baby girl"

"Under the TV so everyone can see it when they sit here"

"Ok. Would you like to do the honours"

"Yes papa!"

I handed her the frame and leaned into Tae's side as we watched her place the frame directly under the TV. The smile on her face let us know that she was happy with it.

"We made that little girl Tae"

"We sure did. She's daddy's little girl"

Y/D/N had joined us back on the couch with a big smile on her face. Tae lifted her up and placed her on his lap.

"Is there anything you want to do this afternoon?"

"I want to go the park and maybe have some ice cream"

"That can be arranged. Shall daddy get your shoes on whilst mummy gets her coat"

"Yes"

Tae and I sat on the bench as we watched our daughter play on the swings and slide.

"I was thinking maybe we should start trying for baby number 2, Tae?"

"I'd be happy too"

We hadn't even noticed our daughter was in front of us until we heard little cries. I lifted her up onto my lap and wiped the tears away.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm not going to be Daddy's little girl anymore"

"What makes you say that?"

"You're going to replace me with another baby"

"We could never replace you. However, we would like you to have a sibling so you can protect them and play with them. You'll always be my baby girl. Ok"

"Yes daddy. Maybe mummy could have a baby brother so she can have a mummy's boy"

"We can try ok. Now where's my favourite smile"

I watched as Tae made her laugh. He truly is the best father to our little girl. If there was ever a problem; he was there in minutes. When heard I was pregnant; it was the happiest to had ever seen it and then when I gave birth; nothing could of wiped that smile off his face.

"What you thinking about?"

"You and how you are the best dad ever"

"You're the best mum you know. My grandmother would've love you and Y/D/N"

"I'm sure she would've of. But we'll always tell her stories about your grandmother"

"Thank you"

I gave him a kiss and soon we left the park to head back home. It's moments like this that me happy and I cherish them so much.
