"So what was the most realistic theory you could come up with." Lance asked as he leaned on the door frame to the laboratory.

"It might be a personal theory but losing someone is the worst way you can get or extract power from aura." The man answered as he sat down on his chair. He was right. The world had seen the destruction that night.

"That means that explosion had.  something to do with aura." Lance asked remembering about that night when 1/3 of saffron city was turned into dust. Not a single building, person even the grass in 1 mile radius was burnt. Nothing was left behind. All that was left was the saffron city gym.

"That was one of the few forbidden techniques. That boy used half of his aura to create a barrier to protect the gym and other half to destroy the city. The only reason legue was able to arrest him. He was out of it." The man explained as he passed a picture to lance who looked at the lone building that stood in middle of nowhere. It took saffron city years to become same.

"Forbidden techniques?"

"They are techniques that come with a huge recoil like the one used that night. The legends say there are a few other techniques like tomb of death,  tower of terror, dragon fist, shadow paralysis. There are a lot of techniques but you will be out of your aura after using it one time. Alas I have only read about them in the legends. I have only seen one in real life, that being that pure ball of aura." The man answered explaining lance about the techniques of aura. The man had only met riley once in his life and he was still a novice learning about it. He could just sense emotions and see in darkness and create a barrier and no more but Ash. He was different. No one knew the reason.

"There are other things too I wanna know about. About aura and emotions. Whats the connection." Lance questioned. He wanted to know why team rocket was so desperate to kill him in the past.

"I don't exactly know about it but there might be a connection between them. Aura is often referred to as life force but it can be used as destructive force too. It is mostly used like that too. Aura reflects human emotions to a certain degree. Let me give you an example. You asked me in the past about that a person said that Ash's emotion level never raged once when he was in prison. Because either he was completely hopeless or happy. Why? I don't know. But once he raged we saw it with our own eyes." The man said as Lance sighed.

"Wonder if those two found him." He mumbled thinking about the other two champions.

"Wha.." Diantha asked as she noticed the two pokemon bowed in front of them. Slowly other pokemons emerged too. A Garchomp, a tyranitar from back then and Infernape standing behind charizard.

"Save Ash, what's that supposed to mean." Cynthia asked narrowing her eyes toward the two pokemons bowed toward her.

"Master Ash is descending into madness." The female voice answered the said question as cynthia looked at the Gardevoir who closed her eyes with a barrier surrounding them.

"Master has lost his reason to live and he had done it in past too. I don't want him, Hina or us to hurt us like that." A voice said as Cynthia's and Diantha's eyes closed.

Their eyes opened in middle of a day.

"Where are we?" Diantha asked noticing her surrounding which was different from where they were. They saw a person wearing cloak walking up the hill as he walked toward them. His steps echoing in the mountain as he passed through their body without noticing them.

"It is an illusion of what happened that day." A voice said as their head turned to face the charizard who spoke those words.

"In case you are wondering. No, I am not a speaking charizard. This is an illusion in your mind with me in it. All thanks to Gardevoir." Charizard mumbled as they noticed the man with a cloth with him that tied something in it. "Follow him. I don't think I can see that scene again." Charizard mumbled as Cynthia and Diantha looked at each other and slowly following the man.
