Ash's eyes rose to meet the half burnt face of the supposedly dead team leader as he took a deep breath trying to control his mind which was in millions of doubts.

Wasn't this man killed?

"I suppose you were the champion when the massive operation was launched against team magma right?" Ash asked Steven next to him who held a pokeball in his hand.

"I guess i was. Never thought i would see him alive." Steven answered. Yeah, it was his era when the leader of notorious team magma was killed. He was scouting those missions.

"Brendan reported him dead to main headquarters right?" Ash asked the man remembering a particular memory. The day the legue took him and Sabrina off a mission saying it was dealt by someone. It was Brendan.

"Both of them were supposed to be." Steven said motioning to a ship approaching toward them with a massive A on it as Ash cursed. Maxie and Archie, both were supposed to be dead. Or were they?

Were they waiting for right moment to strike.

"Ashura Satoshi Ketchum." A voice called as his head rose to meet the black eyes of the person behind his glasses. It was really Maxie. Ash was least intrested in fighting two teams together especially after how tired he was.

And it wasn't of his business too. Team magma and aqua can do whatever they wish. As long as they don't cross him, it was fine.

"Huh." Both the guys standing opposite to a team of 20 grunts exclaimed in surprise. Scout him. Why the hell did they wanted him in their team.

"We have seen your ability and the magma of hatred inside you. Join team magma and we will help you acquire your revenge." He said offering his hand toward Ash.

"I hope you aren't out if shape steven because i really am." Ash sighed as a pack of mightyena emerged in front of them baring their canines toward Garchomp and Metagross as Ash looked toward the ship coming toward them.

"Who knows? I never tried it." Steven answered as Maxie rose his hand silencing everyone.

"Who would know what happen to your daughter if you refuse to co-operate." His words rung through Ash's mind which froze. How the fuck did he knew about his little girl. Why? He was the trying to stay as silent as possible especially from scumbag like him and archie.

This whole ocean just turned into a battlefield.

"You got any plan?" Steven asked Ash who closed his eyes.

Maxie looked at Ash holding a triumphant look of victory hoping him to accept their offer. Ash was currently the most strongest assets anyone could get. Be it legue or any criminal organization. He made his own ways. Not fearing about laws, people and above all morals.

Ash chuckled to himself. His chuckle slowly turning into a mad giggle which changed into a full blown laughter as everyone looked at him as if he lost his mind. He clutched his stomach as he looked maxie into his eyes.
