Alain walked inside the lab being greeted by Marin and Sycamore while he walked straight into the guest area being greeted by a familiar sight of two people.

"Glad you could make it." Alain said sitting down in front of the duo who looked at him with an expectant look.

"You found something about Sawyer?" Shauna asked Alain as he shook his head in denial but at the same time looking hopeful. If what Ash promised was suppose to be true then he will get Sawyer.

"Not exactly but i got a guarantee." Alain said cryptically as the two tilted their head in confusion. What did he meant by it. A guarantee?

"What?" Trevor asked Alain as he passed a picture toward them. A picture of top 3 of Kalos legue years ago. He pointed at a particular picture confusing the duo further. What did Ash had to do here?

"Ash guaranteed his safe return." Alain said as Trevor looked at the picture keenly. His grip on the picture increased as he threw it toward Alain who grabbed it in midair. Shauna sat there in silence absorbing all information.

"Are you really going to belive him. For arceus sake Alain. Ash isn't same. He will go to any extent to obtain his goal. He tricked you." Trevor yelled toward the mega evolution specialist as he sighed.

"Maybe you are right. But it gives us enough time for distraction." Shauna said trying to grasp the situation as Alain shook his head in disapproval.

"Thats why we are here. Let Ash do it. If i feel like things go out of control i will take things in my hands." Alain said as Trevor jumped over the table and held Alain by his collar.

"I... Huh. Who was the one who made Sawyer follow him into Devon corps. Answer me Alain." Trevor asked Alain as Marin emerged there and broke them apart. Both of them glared at each other as Sycamore stood between them.

"Why don't we talk like civilised people." He offered as they sat down once again. The two of them not taking the glare off their eyes.

"All right i admit it was my fault he was captured and thats what i am trying to correct. Why can't you just listen to me. Tell me how far have your plan got us o great trevor." Alain said from his seat as Marin slapped her hand over his mouth and mumbled a small sorry.

Alain remembered the time when both of them decided to work with Steven stone years back after kalos legue. Sawyer became like his brother over the time but things changed. After Team rocket took over kanto. They had to do anything to survive. This is where their paths diverted.

Alain helped Steven to capture Rayquaza while Sawyer belived in Ash's ideals and listened to his heart.

He betrayed the organization. Being one of the most important part of devon corps meant that he knew things no one should have. And to prevent those information being leaked. He was taken as hostage with Rayquaza.

There wasn't a single day Alain didn't regretted it. His group refusing to believe it too. Tierno went his own path to search for Sawyer while the remaining two formed a bittersweet team to find him.

But over time. The cracks between them started to widen up.

"At least i didn't lead Sawyer to hell." He yelled back as Shauna held him back to prevent jumping on each other.

"Why don't we listen to what Alain has to say and then we decide by voting." Sycamore said which sounded more like a order. Even if he was a fun loving guy, when time came he knew how to take serious measures too. Sawyer was his responsibility. He was the one who gave him his pokedex and starter.

"I met Ash." Alain started.

"What did he wanted? Mega stone for his already monstrous charizard." Trevor said as a glare from Alain shut him down.
